Okay, my ADRs have been made for a while and I've felt comfortable with them. Up until now. I don't know if it's "last week" jitters or what. I've been planning for months our very first trip to the World, and now that it's almost here, I'm really starting to second guess myself.

I have us eating at:

Brown Derby
Chef Mickeys
Coral Reef
Hoop De Doo
Le Cellier
Sci Fi
Tony's

Honestly, I'm at peace with Tony's, despite many of the poor reviews I've read. And I'm fine with all of my other choices except one. My issue is with Le Cellier. Part of me thinks that this is a "must-do" restaurant, but another thinks that I need to be more adventurous with the World Showcase, kwim? Seriously, there's a chance to eat Japanese or Moroccan or whatever, and I'm eating steak??

If you were me, would you even consider canceling the Le Cellier ADR and trying to get something more ... different? Or do I just need to not think about it? That's if I could even get anything else ...

Are these just pre-trip jitters?? Or do I need to re-look my ADRs?

I know what you mean! I'm having the same thoughts about where we should eat. Just tell yourself it's Canadian steak and how often do you get that? :rotfl:

I would think that they are just pre-trip jitters. Did you see something on the menu at Le Cellier that you really wanted to try? I guess you will just have to decided what you might be more upset about missing. At least the Morroccan and Japanese places have CS so you could maybe try them at lunch one of the days??

I know what you mean about second guessing yourself. I must have changed some of my reservations 3 or 4 times before finally just accepting what we had. I had booked coral reef, but then thought that we should try something more adventurous also, like Biergarten, but decided to keep the coral reef one, and it worked out really well. I still would like to go back to Biergarten (went with my family as a young teenager), but will consider it for a future trip.

I also wanted to point out that I started thinking about that too. A lot of thinking "I can get this at home! Why am I eating it here?" But then, I started thinking and most of the things at Disney, I can get that cuisine at home: Mexican, French, Italian, Japanese, Chinese, Moroccan... About the only thing I can think of that we don't have here (at least that I know of) would be a good Polynesian or maybe German. So, just go for what you think will be good and call it a day. :) I think you've probably just got some jitters going on.

I would try something new. There are better steak places in places other than Orlando. Plus the other countries give you much better atmosphere than a typical Mexican, Morracan, or Japanese restaurant.

Just my 2 cents

We are doing Le Cellier this trip for the first time. We've done Marrakesh (Morocco) and it's lots of fun with the belly dancer, San Angel Inn (Mexico) and the atmosphere here is awesome! Be warned however that this is NOT your typical Tex/Mex food. It's more fish and what I would consider "local" Mexican cuisine. A lot of people don't like it as well because they are used to our local restaurants that have burritos, fajitas, etc. I've heard that the restaurant in China is not that great and the atmosphere is not what you would expect. The Japanese steakhouse is supposed to be fun and good food, but if you have a japanese steakhouse near you.....? I believe Germany has a buffet???? Someone may want to correct me here. I've been in here and checked the menu and it didn't thrill me.

I'll be honest. DH and I are kinda "snobs" when it comes to WDW dining. There are some great dining experiences here and we try to enjoy them for both the food and the ambiance. I would leave your ADRs as you have them scheduled, and just enjoy!!!! Maybe stop in Marrakesh or San Angel Inn or any others that intrigue you and have a look around. If you really think that's what you want to do, see if you can get an ADR at that time for later in the day, or whatever. But being this close to your trip (we'll be there at the same time!!!) you're probably better holding what ADRs you have for now. Or even try one of the other restaurants for an out of pocket light lunch one day? Just my thoughts.

Have a great trip!!!!

I agree it's just jitters. I think you have made some great choices and will enjoy them. I recommend you keep Le Cellier. It is one of our favorites and a must do.

Have fun, and eat too much!

Thanks for all the responses. I must have jitters, that's all. I tend to do that, especially when it comes to the big, important decisions in life. I'm embarrassed to admit that if you could watch my wedding video, you'd see that I hesitated very noticeably right before saying "I do." Thank goodness I resisted the flight urge, these past 14 years (and counting) have been wonderful! :lmao: But, isn't it sad that I'm reacting the same way to these dining plans the same way I did my wedding? :rolleyes1 Must ... quit ... obsessing!!

That's funny, we're also leaving in 6 days for our first trip to WDW! AND are also re-thinking dinner reservations for Le Cellier.

However, we're not canceling and are excited about trying out LeCellier.
I'm now thinking, "wait, we're going to Disney, and I'm worried?"

I DON'T HAVE TO COOK! WOOO HOOOO! :woohoo:

First let me say... YOU LUCKY DOG:laughing: ! I'm so jealous!:woohoo:

Second... We LOVED LeCellier! The food was outstanding and the service second to none! A steak eater myself, I loved the filet; DW said the chicken dish was the best she had and DD12 :cutie: couldn't get enough of the desserts! I say keep the ressie and enjoy!

sorry to be OT but what is KWIM? Ive seen it a bunch but its not on the abbriv list and I cant figure it out :confused3

kwim means "know what I mean"

The more I think about it, the more sense it is to not change anything. I'm definitely happy about not having to cook (or do those dishes)!
