Getting excited for our anniversary trip - no kids - whee (not to worry, we're doing a family trip in Sept :D ) We are used to going in Sept with very minimal crowds, so just wondering what we'll be up against this weekend. We'll be staying at POR and will be in the parks Sat, Sun and Mon. We have AP and will most likely focus on Epcot and MK with maybe a short visit to MGM. Will we find a big difference between this weekend and Sept timing? Thanks, Jo

We just got back last night (5/21) and the crowds had been buildng all week. We arrived 5/13 and the crowds became more noticeable as time worn on. The worst wait times were in Fantasyland with over an hour wait for Peter Pan yesterday AM. Space Mtn was 45 min, BuzzLightyear 40 min.

Crowded. But with careful planning, do-able. Longer hours, esp for guests staying on site.

We were there from 5/9-5/19, and the difference in the crowds between the beginning and ending of our trip was amazing! MGM on 5/9 was practically empty. By the 16th, all of the parks were beginning to feel crowded, though it wasn't unbearable.

We just came back from POFQ, it was not too bad around the resort, but the parks were much busier by the end of our trip then they were on the 8th when it began! Only complaint about POR was the food court at Riverside. Yesterday for lunch the staff was next to incompetent. Crazy line-ups and mixed up orders. We were on the silver plan most of our stay so rarely ate at the resort, good thing!

I have seen the crowds thickening each week since we arrioved after the first of this year.
I can only imagine what they will be like once school is out for the summer. :earseek:
What workks well for us is go in the morning, leave in the afternoon and return for evening. :) Beats a lot of the congestion and hot weather.
By afternoon it is hot, sticky, and you can barely walk, let alone ride anything.
Week days are much better than weekends, needless to say.

we stayed from 5/14 to 5/22/ at the start it was much more crowded that I would have thought but doable. When we left it was getting insane. Much worse than presidents day week.
