yippeee its almost time. i have done so much planning for this. and have read and reread this board and i have to say its a life saver. i got our tickets last friday , we get the fla resident deal and we are staying at the all star music resort. my mom couldn't go with us so she booked us a room for a week as a late bday present for me. shes the most wonderful mom in the world.
i am trying to get a plan set for the week we are there. alottt of work i must say. im planning everything. hubby said i was in control of this lol.
i have a couple questions though ?
the fanny pack ideas for the kids.. the workers don't check these ? i didn't want to get into trouble.
and the contemporary resort buffet, i tried finding a listing of the prices of this place to eat , i was thinking of eating there the first day we get there since i didn't want to waste a day pass .
is that a good place to go on a arrival day ?
four day pass what parks to hit first ?
do you ever split parks in the same day ? go to one and another in same day ?
sorry for all the questions . we have a good long drive ahead of us. driving from the fla panhandle. im sooooo excited !!! thank u all for having the most informative board around !

We park hop almost all of the time, we go to the park with early entry and leave at lunch, go back to the resort for a little while and then go to another park. The Contempory is a great way to start out a trip. Dinner at Chef Mickey's is great fun...I think it's around $23.00 for adults $19.00 for kids???? Our bill was $120.00 (a child and 2 adults AND photos!!!)
They did do a quick search all of out fanny packs even kid's.

All bags are checked including diaper bags, purses, children's bags, camera cases, ect.

Chef Mickey's is great-- PS is recommended. We love doing dinner there our first night. Don't forget to get the autograph books prior to dinner though--- they have them at the gift shop in all the resorts. The kids will want them for the characters there.

Personally, if the days work out right, I like to start every trip at the MK. I think mostly because it's classic Disney. It just feels right to do it this way to me.

Park hopping can help you arrange a scheudle to meet your needs. For our next trip, we are actually hoping each day in the parks. Since we are only doing the parks 3 days this time, and we want to do all the parks, it's just the way it worked out. We wanted more down time this time. This will be our 3rd trip in 13 months, so it's time for a little Orlando R & R !!

Have fun!! Don't forget your lime green. Our trips will overlap a few days and I'm always looking for the lime green!!

Lime green is the "official" color of the dis board. A lime ribbon or Mickey Head from Home Depot will be on my backpack. That is how you can identify other members of the Dis board at WDW!!!::yes::

We will be there during some of that time too!

We will attach the lime green to us but we figure there will be a lot of green because of St. Paddy's day!

See you there! :bounce:

We'll be there from the 14th to the 20th. I never heard of the lime green before. But mugglemom is right. How will we know if your from the Dis or celebrating St. Patrick's day?

Chris

Is st. pattys day the holiday where if you aren't wearing green anywhere you get pinched???? lol
I found some fanny packs at the local waterfront mission today for 50 cents a peice
:D
Trying to find things here and there without spending too much. Saving the big bucks for when we get down there:bounce:

Pinched or kissed depending on who does it! :bounce:

I guess we will wear green on St. Paddy's day and wear lime green ribbons all over our purses or butt packs!

Although so far I have not been able to find lime green ribbon! They store I went to today only had kelly green. So tomorrow I head to WalMart. They have to have lime green, right? :bounce:

I am so excited I think I could pack and leave tonight! Actually we leave on a plane at 6AM on a Sunday. Want to bet we get no sleep at all on Saturday night! :hyper:

A plus will be the fantastic sunrise we will see on the plane! :earseek:

I actually bought gift wrap ribbon, as I could not find it in the silky type ribbon either. I just have it attached to the back of my backpack. I will be leaving the day before St. Paddy's Day-- So I guess I'm in the clear. Don't you know another Dis'er will see the ribbon when DH has the bag--I finally clued him in as to why the ribbon is there. He recently has begun reading the boards, the other night he was on until 4am. He's becoming addicted too!!! Here's hoping March will be warm and dry!!!!
