Well, two weeks from tomorrow we are heading down by car to Disney, we got the 20.03 at DD Marriot for the first 5 nights and then the $69 rate for the last night.

I am getting psyched and am praying we have some decent weather! Who else will be there at those specific dates Aug. 9-16? I know a thread was started earlier but the search is unavailable!

Wear your green so we can at least all say "Hey!"

Blessings,
Emmy

Be sure to post your thought/experience at CbM to all of us "gonna be there soon DISers" The staff there is going to wonder what is going on with all of us wearing lime green for the next few months!! Should be a hoot!

We're staying at Courtyard DTD 1st of Dec. We have the $20.03 rate. I've read so many mixed reviews about this hotel that I have some misgivings. Also, their video clip on their website makes them look sort of dreary. I was told they recently underwent a renovation. I guess what I'm trying to say is, I'm worried its a dump! Would you post after coming back about your impressions? Some pictures would be great. I understand they have a sort of annex--not in the main tower. I wonder if that's where they put all the $20.03 per night folks. I did talk to them at the hotel direct, and they said their renovated rooms now have queen-size beds. While you can't request a renovated room or queen-size beds, you can request "larger room". Supposedly this will get you one of the newer rooms. I also have reservations at the Best Western DTD for almost the same price, and all rooms have queen-size beds, and, to my understanding, there's no "outback" (annex) so all rooms have a tower view. Can't make up my mind!

However, what sways me to Courtyard is their location--within walking distance to DTD. Would like to have your take on this, too. Thanks!

vhoffman,
We just stayed at the Courtyard Marriott DTD in June. We had free vouchers from the Marriott rewards program. We had a pleasant 2 day stay there. Everyone was extremely nice. The hotel isn't the Poly, but at $20.03 I think it is a great! We stayed in the "Annex" with a pool view and balcony and it was nice. The room was larger than our room at Port Orleans. It had a nice big vanity area outside the bathroom. There was also the managers reception with drinks, nachos and popcorn.

I posted a couple of pictures on the following thread:

I also have some better pictures of the pool, if you would like to see those.

Maggie
