Would you feel safe leaving your camper in a resort parking lot? We have talked about spliting our next trip, few days at FW camping , then staying at a resort for a few days. I am not sure if I am comfortable leaving the camper unattended like that. What do you think? :confused3

We are planning to do just that we have a week planed for FW and then a week at SSR the RV parking is at POR so it won't even be near where we are but that is what we have insurance for if it gets stolen or damaged we will just claim it. I honestly doubt I would replace it though much to my wife and kids dissapointment LOL.

A few years ago we spent one night at the Caribbean Beach hotel before proceeding to FW the next day. Although it was only for one night we didn't have any problems at all. We have a pop-up camper. We just made sure that we had locks on the trunk, the bikes on the rack and the roof latches. We also kept it hooked up to our TV (including a lock on the hitch). The hotels also have security and everyone that comes into the parking lot has to pass through the guard gate first.

We stayed at FW last December for 6 nights and then left our TT in the FW parking lot for 5 days while we went on a Disney Cruise. There were 10-15 other RVs in the parking lot as well. We checked with the registration desk at FW and explained what we were going to do. They provided us with a paper for the window that showed our departure date and a red key ring to place on the door so that security would know we had permission to park in the lot overnight. We were informed that Security made regular rounds in the parking lot, especially at night. Everything was fine when we returned and I would leave my TT again. :earboy2:

Thank you so much! ;)

One time we went from FW to one of the All Stars and we parked the RV there for a couple days and it was fine.

Just a little note, FW does not allow overnight parking there anymore. You can park there for couple hours after check in/out but not overnight. They will have you towed. Just to let you know. We did not know this until we arrived.
