We're flying out of Buffalo. My DH has me second guessing myself now.
I can bring children's tylenol/benadryl, sudafed, gravol anything I bought in Canada over correct? As long as it isn't a prescription medication that's not labelled with a script?
:confused3
Second, I chose our seats ahead of time so we have four together however it has me and DH next to each other and dd3 ds5 next to each other. I just assume it's okay for us to switch and have dh sit with dh and me with dd.
Can anyone confirm for me?

last time we flew they had my dd then 4 sitting by herself and they let us switch no problem

Thanks for the responses. I did try reading TSA site, seems to just be about how to travel with medications and not what you can bring over border from Canada to US.

Most over the counter meds should be ok, just make sure that everything is in the original bottles.

If you have prescriptions make sure they are also in the original bottles and perhaps bring a copy of the prescription with you too.

The only time people really have a problem is when customs can't identify what a substance is. Or if something is more plant based than processed.

Mind you flying out of Buffalo you'll probobly have less problems than out of say Toronto. Dropping off my sis recently, my parents had already taken down most of her baggage. The customs officer didn't even ask why we didn't have any bags if they were heading on a 2 week trip.

I agree anything you have in the original packaging shouldn't be an issue. I don't recall ever being asked at the border if we had any medications with us.

We fly out of Buffalo all the time. We are from North of Toronto. We have never had a problem bringing any sort of perscription, over the counter drug or vitimins across the border. I always bring them in the origional containers. Just remenber that if the kids medicin is liquid it cannot be more than 3oz or 100ml to be carried on with you. They rarely check your belongings at the border crossing. The only things I have ever been asked entering the U.S by car is for my passport, to see my return flight information and am I bringing any food into the country.(you cannot bring fruits, veggies or meat across with you.) Hope this helps.;)

Yes to both-you can bring OTC meds, you can switch seats with your kids. I always take gravol and allergy meds and dd's asthma inhaler and they've never even asked (only asked tobacco, alcohol or firearms). Honestly, when they ask where you're going tell them, "we're flying to Walt Disney World from Buffalo". I find as soon as they hear you're a family en route to WDW (or coming back from it) they could care less what you're bringing.
