I brought up this thread b/c of our RIGHTS that are being taken away- I personally don't watch hotel porn-- but it is my RIGHT to CHOOSE to watch it if I wish.

I am looking at the BIG PICTURE! Not who thinks porn is right or wrong

This is why I am LIBERTARIAN! You do what you want behind closed doors and I'll do what I want. If we aren't breaking the law and we aren't infringing on one another's rights, why should anyone care?

Uh, I don't think a single person on this thread believes that child porn is acceptable. But as far as the rest of the industry, yes, I believe that they have the FIRST FREAKING AMENDMENT RIGHT OF FREE SPEECH! If the porn is being created by consenting adults, then they can depict whatever they want to. Doesn't mean you, I. or anyone else has to watch it.

And I will DEFEND THEIR RIGHT OF FREE SPEECH TO THE DEATH. Without it, we might as well go live in Iran or North Korea.

Totally agree! All of our rights are slowly but surely getting taken away and we are just letting it happen. Right now it's being done under the cloak of 'Homeland Security" but either way,it's being done and I think in order to remain "The land of the free" then we need to start putting an end to those special interest groups that have too much influence over politics and business.

What you (in general) do in your own private life is your own business, not the governments. And I agree about the non porn rooms idea that is perfect!

mtblujeans - The point is NOT the porn industry (which is a legal industry and HEAVILY regulated today) the point is this group is trying to nose into your hotel room and tell you what you can and can't do there. It's none of their business and as long as I'm not tying them up in front of my tv and taping their eyes open to watch along with me, they shouldn't care.

What if they decided tomorrow that WDW was an overstimulating environment and was forcing you to eat fattening foods and purchase items in shops by making you walk through as you exit rides? What if they went to the state of Florida and said this was all too much, that children were being exposed to too many marketing tie-ins and sugar and that the whole place should just be closed down?

It may be a leap, but it isn't much of one. They chose porn because it's an easy target. The person who pointed out mini bars may not be too far off. Then what's next?

Those of you who think that voting a Democrat in for office is going to change this type of governmental intrusion into your lives are kidding yourselves.
