Does anyone know how Leave a Legacy tiles work? I'd like to have one of my two girls 14yr and 12yr together(don't know why we never did it before) but am a little uninformed. I know there is a kiosk to go to and that's about it. Whereabouts in Epcot? Price? How long before it goes up? Do they give you the location?
Thanks in advance....Sue

You can put two images on a single tile. The Leave a Legacy area is to the right just as you enter Epcot. If you reach Gateway Gifts or Spaceship Earth, you've gone too far.

I'm not certain how long it takes... it's not an immediate process. You will receive a card with a picture and the location of your tile a few weeks after it is taken. At Epcot there are signs that explain how to locate your specific tile (because they are small) or most CMs can help you also. If you forgot the location (like my DW and I did :o ) Leave a Legacy can look it up for you.

We did this a few years ago and the kids love finding their pictures when we first get to EPCOT. They know right where it is.

We just got back on Friday and I purchased a tile while I was there. You can have up to two pictures or I think it was five lines of text (not much on each line) but you could not do both.

I purchased one for my Mom who passed away on 5/2. We were scheduled to leave for WDW on 5/6 and had to postpone our trip to last week. I had a text message done that said "Dedicated" and added her name and the day she passed. We now have something at our favorite place to remind us of her when we visit and other family members as well.

It will stay up 20 years! In 2 month's they mail you a sample of the tile. It takes 4 month's before it's on the wall and in the computers!!!

Hope this helps!

P.S. Text cost $25 not sure about the pictures but I think it was the same.

that's a nice reminder......your answer was very helpful. We will do this in November for sure. I hope they're still doing it then.

If you have an annual pass you get to buy one tile and receive a second one free. My daughter and I on May 15th had our picture taken for one tile and had our names and hometown, and date on the other free tile. It took about 15 minutes to fill out the paperwork and have a CM enter it in computer and then have a good picture taken (they use digital camera so you can see it right away).
I've only been home a week so I have a while before I find out exactly where my tile will be, but the CM said it should be up when I return in Sept 04.

I can't wait to see it.

This is something that our kids look forward to going and looking at each trip we make!! It will be so cool for them to show their own children when they have them!

We plan on having a tile made with our DS and DD on it in November! I think that it will be great for them to show their children someday!!

My Dh and I had these done in 2000 and I would like to get 1 for my parents. Is it possible to bring a standard picture of them and have the tile made from this?::MinnieMo

I don't think so as the photo's are taken on site - may be diificult to scan in.

We bought a brick many years ago and visit it every time we go to DW. I think this trip we will buy a legacy tile. As an AP holder, when you buy one, you get a second for free. ::MickeyMo
