Can someone explain to me where you go for this - where it ends up , how much time it takes to "do" and if it seems worth it.....

It is one of my options for a wish and just wondering - thanks!

I had this for a wish and used it on my January trip. The walls are in Epcot...when you walk in past the gates and i think there is a fountain you walk past too, you will see different sized walls...this is where the tiles are. We went on a rainy Friday to get it done, and it took about 10 minutes...my BF and I got both our pictures on one tile...it is really quick though. I think it was worth it b/c its a really neat idea...my face is in a wall for i think for 10 or 20 years! I am looking to taking my future children there one day!

HI
We did a leave a legacy tile when we were on the gold plan and we loved it.
When you enter epcot you will see a stand for it on the right hand side. You just need to fill out a form with some basic info and then you wait to have your picture taken. I would suggest going first thing in the morning. It only took us about 15 min total.
Although, it wasn't a very busy day.
There are marble monuments as you enter Epcot and your tile is placed on one of these. It won't be up during your stay, but you will be able to see it on a future visit. They will send you a proof and the location of the tile when you return home.
We thought it was worth it. It was really neat to go back 6 mos later and find our pic up on the monument. We don't have any children yet so we thought it would be so fun for our kids to come back and see mom and dad in their younger day some day.

 Hi Tinkie:)
Thanks for the thread. We are thinking of doing the same thing ourselves when our family is there in August.:)
So much thanks to all those who replied:cool:
Have a good vacation:sunny:

There is another thread on here somewhere and someone included pictures of their leave a legacy tile. It is worth looking up if you would like a better idea of what the end result looks like.

Does anyone know if the tiles are permanent, or if they are treating them like they did the bricks in the Walk around the World - only guaranteeing for 10 yrs?

I tried looking at your photo but I get the error message:
"The File You Are Looking For Is Inaccessible."

Who are your famous neighbours?

Hippychickali, I was moving photo albums around today and that one got marked "private" -- I'm sorry. Try it again (the album is now marked "public"). Click here for photo. The famous tiles are fairly worn due to their fans rubbing them and creating etchings of them.

OH dear, I'm sure that will happen to mine too! haha!

Thanks - I think I will do it - looks like fun.

We got ours durng on honeymoon stay this past January. Like the others said, it took only 10-15 and was completely painfree. :) I'm not sure of the cost, because we got it as part of our silver package. They told us that a copy of the photo would come to us in the mail in about 3 months, but we got it already and it's been less than a month. The tiles will stay there until 2020 when they start a new gimmick.

My son and I did this the first year it was available (2000 ?) and he thought it was really fun. If I remember the fine print they promise to keep it in the park for 20 years but no promises it will stay up front. So it is subject to being moved somewhere else in the park in the future ( buried in the back of the park ?). The thing I was a little upset about was within 2 years of having our picture done it had faded out so bad you could not even tell it was people in the picture. However, there were pictures next to ours that I assume was done about the same time and some of them were still pretty clear while others looked like my sons and mine- really bad.

My DH and I did this in 2000. I got to visit us in 2003 - it was cool to see us there! I'm always at WDW! Here are a couple of my pics...

What is the location of the NSYNC tiles?

TIA :p

Does anyone know if camera shy people can have words put on the leave a legacy tile instead of pictures?

I saw some words when I was there last week.

Is it possible to bring a picture to put up? Maybe one they can scan? I would love to have a picture of my DF who passed away in Sept.

I'm not sure, but that is a wonderful idea. Unless they need to have a special format from their camera, I can't imagine them saying no this this. I hope they let you, that's very sweet & a great tribute to your DF.

Yes, those who are camera shy can have a message on their tile. No, you cannot have a picture created on the tile from a photo.
I checked into this because I wanted to surprise my parents with a tile. What I did instead was give them (and dear friends of ours) tiles with messages on them. They received a nice certificate in the mail with the location of their tiles. Our friends, who will be taking their 1st Disney trip in April, are very excited to find their message at Epcot. My parents will have to wait another year!

I can't remember, but I do believe they were in the front row. If I can find my tile information, I will let you know (my tiles were very near theirs, and it was the Disney CM who showed me my tiles who also showed me the 'NSYNC tiles).
