Least Favorite ride?

Body Wars! It's boring and it makes me sick for the rest of the day - I skip it from now on.

Least favorite attractions by park:

MK - Swiss Family Treehouse: out-dated, boring
EP - El Rio del Tiempo: boring, stereotypical
DS - Star Tours: in desperate need of an update
AK - Primevel Whirl: too jerky, not fun at all

Magic Kingdom: Tomorrowland Speedway (although kids do love it)
EPCOT: Body Wars (makes me ill) and Rio del Tiempo (starts great, finishes like an outdated advertisement)
Animal Kingdom: Hester & Chester's Dinorama really detracts from the themeing of the park, Kali River Rapids is WAY too short and could use better themeing
MGM: Muppet Vision 3D (there are too many 3D attractions now, and this is our least favorite)

I HATE Dinosaur...That ride scares me to death, and it it too jerky, and loud! The last time I went on it I sat with my eyes closed and I plugged my ears. I also think the treehouse is a waste of time. Those are pretty much the only ones I won't go on (or climb)

How can you dislike Muppets 3-D? It is very funny and well done.
Oh well, different strokes for different folks I guess.

Dislikes by Park
Epcot: The Living Seas (I know, it's an attraction not a ride) and Spaceship Earth. Thankfully, Disney is revamping that ride into a new attraction!
Magic Kingdom: Extra-Terrorestrial(sp) and Peter Pan.
Animal Kingdom: Kali River Rapids (you just don't get wet enough)
Disney Studios: The Great Movie Ride. (It sure could use an update!!!)

Hopefully I won't receive any flames because of these choices...

Primevel Whirl. I think this ride is boring and way to loud.

I saw this thread and I immediately thought "wow, there's rides that people DON'T like??!" But that got me to thinking...

I suppose if I had to pick any, it would be as follows:

MK: Dumbo and Snow White- I've only been on each of these once, and don't care to go again.

MGM: Star Tours

EPCOT: I didn't like El Rio de Tiempo OR Maelstrom

AK: I think the only ride we went on there was Dinosaur, and I enjoyed that.

I love nearly everything there, but one that I dislike out of fear and constant nausea is Tower of Terror. I don' t trust it and it scares the living daylights out of me:eek:

I don't even bother going on Star Wars as my parents learned the hard way after taking me on it at DL. Just like the little boy we saw in Oct 02 standing in front of the exit....with mom trying hard to clean up the mess his upset tummy made:(

MK - Teacups, although I have never been on it, this body can't take the spinning.
Epcot - Body Wars - makes me sick, Circle of Life movie. I've seen it twice and really see no reason to go back
Studios - There is really nothing there that I don't like, however if I miss Beauty and the Beast or the Little Mermaid on a trip, I don't worry about it too much.
Animal Kingdom - Primeval Whirl - I love roller coasters and really wanted to like this, but once again, this thing spins too much.

MK: Astro Orbiter...I think it's just because of the long line for the elevator thing.

Epcot: I don't much like either of the Journey Into Imaginations, although the new one is an improvement over the second version. I've seen the first one but I don't remember much about it.

Studios: The rides are okay. I guess the backstage tram tour bores me. I went on one of those a lot in Los Angeles and they had so much more actual film history there. I could name several shows I don't like at the Studios.

AK: I like all the rides at AK except for the Triceratops Spin, but that is because it's a complete and total kiddie ride. It's even more "kiddiefied" than Dumbo if that is possible. I like Dumbo mostly because I liked the movie.

I learned this from my sis. (Some families will like this tip - others won't need it.) Borrow a washcloth or even a hand towel from the hotel and put it in a Ziploc and carry it with your other 'stuff' to the parks for the day. It's a lot easier to wipe up faces and clothing after upset tummies with cloth - than it is with paper towels or baby wipes. Whether you use the washcloth or not - it should be returned to your hotel, of course.

(Although, come to think of it - I actually gave mine to a grateful mother once. This mother was trying to clean up her very upset 10 to 12 year old daughter with paper towels in the ladies room. It was - surprise - the ladies room nearest to Alien Encounter. )

I would have to say Snow White. Too boring for older kids and adults and too scary for little kids.

Body Wars, Alien Encounter, SF Treehouse, Dinosaur.

Since I am in the thread for most favourite, I am going in this thread as well for yin-yang maintenance

#1) Tommorland Transit Authority - in this case least favourite/most boring is ok as it gave my feet a rest and my shoulders from carrying DS around

#2) Magic Carpets of Alladdin - ok again since DS liked it and that was all the reason to ride

#3) Space Mountain - know it is not a big rollercoaster but I could not get into the "right mood" for the ride

#4) Indy Speedway - again done for DS which was all the reason to ride

#5) Minnie's House - DS went through at least 5 times - drove me and DW crazy!!!

Thanks for the laugh
Jason

DH and I actually thought Minnie's house was a hoot. We were playing with all the kitchen gadgets. Two 40-somethings playing with toys...must have been quite the sight!

Anyway, my five least favorites (I don't really dislike ANYTHING, just not my faves) -

1. Conservation Station at AK - at least make the train ride scenic, would ya? Then, you get there and, unless you want to pet baby animals (DH is allergic to everything), there's not much to do. We did like the sound booths where you listen to the ecological spiel in the dark. I think DH took a nap.

2. Jungle Cruise - yeah, I know it's a classic, but it's lame.

3. Treehouse - ditto

4. Body Wars and Star Tours - tied for nausea factor

5. Anything that spins - nausea factor

MK: Alien Encounter- After all the hype, it's just sitting in a dark room in an uncomfortable seat while they shoot air on your neck.
EPCOT: Universe of Energy-Not too fond of Ellen's commedy and just seems a little too hokey.
MGM: Sounds Dangerous-Same as Alien Encounter
AKL Can't choose, I like them all. If I had to choose, I'd say Triceratops Spin-not extreemly interesting or original.

Magic Kingdom: Alien Encounter- just plain mean-spirited.

EPCOT: 1) The Timon/Pumba show in the Land- boring and hypocritical. IMHO it takes a lot of gall for a company which has paved over as much wetland as Disney has to put on a show condemning environmental destruction.

MGM Studios: Back lot tour. One ride is OK, but I don't feel a need to ever do it a second time.

Animal Kingdom: Hmmm. I am tempted to say the whole cheap "boardwalk" thing in the Dinosaur section, but my DD (age 5) loves Triceratops Spin, so I will refrain from listing that. Not much to criticize in this park- I love it all!

ummmm Space Mountain...
Has anyone seen the Universal commercial about the son and his dad riding the Hulk.. and the narrator says.. "hearing your dad scream like a girl"
that was my DD (13) on space mountain the one and only time I rode that cursed monster. she laughed and laughed and laughed...
you get the picture
;)
