Least Favorite Park?

AK for sure,I don't hate it or anything like that but I've realized it's mainly the theme that just doesn't do it for me,for example there are areas at the other parks that I enjoy just standing there and soaking in the environment just due to their theme like Main Street USA,Frontierland,World Showcase, the whole Old Hollywood theme at DHS in Hollywood Blvd and Sunset blvd.Let me give you an example I live 3 miles away from a zoo and I feel the the AK entrance feels very Zoo'ish,I think they should have done a more elaborate entrance to the park between the entrance and Discovery Island, like a village with shops and stores like a main street in another country, something that makes you feel like you're walking into a Disney park instead of a zoo.I would say I enjoy most of the rides at AK except for the Safari,it just seems that you're so far away from the animals and the drivers script is very dull and boring, when compared to the Rhino rally ride at Busch Gardens,in this ride you are so much closer to the animals and the driver is able to incorporate his own jokes into the story,at least for me makes that ride much more entertaining. There's been new talk of AK building the Beastly Kingdom area of the park that was to open when the park opened, hopefully if this new land does get built it will offer a land with a different feel than the rest of the park and I hope it goes somewhere in between Camp Mickey Minney and Africa as for me this left side of the park is what I would consider the less interesting side.

Animal Kingdom. We love animals, but there just isn't the type of interaction that I'd like to see at an animal park. For my dd and I, we enjoy a more personal experience with the animals like Sea World, or zoo's. It's not Disney's fault or anything lol, but it's just not a park we really have to be at, or even particularly enjoy.

Maybe we're missing something, but personally I would love if they opened up a baby animal center maybe, interactive and FREE. Petting center ect. I do, however, love the nooks and crannies we found last year. Little hidden spots to sit and people watch or enjoy a soda. I just get bored there easily.

Animal Kingdom... It always feels like its 110 degrees in there! All we really ever do there is the safari, ITTBAB, FOTLK, and EE. That can all be done in half a day. It just doesn't feel "disney"ish to me...:confused3

Um...I LOVE Animal Kingdom. Just saying, haha. My least favorite is probably EPCOT. I'm not sure why. I just have very strong arguments for the other three and EPCOT I just can't seem to develop one for. I do like future world but sometimes the countries get a little boring for me. Oh well, it's still amazing!

I also have to say AK. I just don't feel like I'm at WDW when I'm there...it seems...dirty, hot and too spread out. The only time I ever feel like AK has anything to do with WDW is when the parade is going by...then it seems to fit! Otherwise, we usually spend one full day there, but most of that is spent with my kids running around the boneyard play area and riding the safari (and maybe Tusker House for breakfast).....

I'm going to rephrase this to read. . .the park we spend the least amount of time in. . . We love all the parks for their unique themes and qualities, but I guess we spend the least amount of time visiting Disney's Hollywood Studios, when we are at WDW.

We love RnR Coaster-----Toy Story Mania------always visit One Man's Dream----and try to catch Beauty & the Beast. . . I do think there are other great attractions at this park-----for us it comes down to having so many of the attractions at DHS on schedules. And. . .depending on the time of year you are there and the crowds, the need to queue up almost an hour ahead of time.

One year I remember attending the Light, Motors, Action Stunt Show-----the exiting was quite something being packed into a huge wave of people all hurrying to their next destination!

Anyhow, we do 'our favs' and sometimes pick something we haven't seen in a while-----but shortly thereafter, are hopping to our next destination.

(p.s. too, seem to prefer the dining options in the other parks over DHS too----but that is another thread!)

This post has been very helpful in my planning. I have only 3 days to visit the parks. I am thinking of splitting a day between AK and DHS. Which park would you go to first and which attractions would you hit first?

DHS. it's boring, and like a PP said, there's not a huge disney-ish feel. the "glitz and glamour" of hollywood doesn't do much for me. :confused3

but i do looooove TSM and star tours. it's worth half a day to me, but that's it.

AK closes earlier than the other parks, many times in the off season as early as 5pm so you might want to do AK first and DHS later in the day as it usually closes between 7pm and 9pm.At AK Everest will get the big lines as well as the safari. One thing to consider is both these parks do have several shows and they take up a good amount of time from your day as they are only scheduled at certain times,so if you have interest in the shows check which you might want to see and which to skip as doing these two parks in one day can be done if you want to get the major rides in but once you mix in the shows your time will be cut. Also over at DHS Toy Story mania is very popular and without a FP you could be looking at a 1 hr wait or more and FP's tend to run out early depending on the crowds. So while people say they do these parks in half a day, usually that means just getting the major rides in,in reality there is still plenty to see and do at both of these parks for a full day if you've never been.

Animal Kingdom is my least favorite too. We had a miserable time there this year and even though part of it was my fault (we arrived too late), I'm not in a hurry to go back. It was too hot and crowded and there aren't enough restaurants or places just to get out of the heat.

I do love the Maharajah Jungle Trek, the safari and Dinosaur though. It was way too hard to see these three attractions though.

My least favourite park is Busch Gardens;)

We love all the Disney parks equaly and couldnt mis any one of them.

I dont understand about why AK is hotter or more spread out or having not enough attractions. We love it and generally spend a full day and a part day there.

DHS has a great atmosphere, Toy Story Medway Mania, Muppet 3D, Rock n rollercoaster, Indiana Jones, Tower of terror, Backlot tour, and great counter food at the ABC Commisary and table service at Mama Melroses, one of our favourite places on property. Fantasmic is the best show in Disney and the Osbourne Family lights at xmas are superb. Can I also get a yeah yeah for Mulch Sweat and Sheers who know how to get the Led out and together with Jamitors at EPCOT are may favourite street entertainers.

The park we leave until last to visit is usually MK.

If I had to drop anything Disney it would be Blizzard Beach

We love MK and EPCOT (we spend most of our nights at EPCOT). AK is a change of pace - for us we really like it because it is more of a "relaxing park." DHS really needs a face lift. There are the good stand-bys like Great Movie Ride (which should be updated), Muppets, Little Mermaid, now the new TSM - which is great, TOT and R&RC (I don't do upside down!) and the Beauty & the Beast Show. Back lot tour is not what is used to be since they added in Lights, Motor, Action, Indiana Jones has been the same show since the park opened, Star Tours is OK. Alot of the live acts are also gone. There also used to be a group called the Hollywood Hit Men who preformed on the NY Street who were great. We also miss the group, I think they were called Return to Zero - who preformed before the Beauty & the Beast Show. We bought both of their CD's. HSM is a big money maker for Disney but saw the show once and now it's a skip it. American Idol - it's OK. With the size of that park I am sure there is so much more they could do and add to it but I understand alot of it comes down to money.

All in all, I do love all the parks just not all the same. A day in any park is better than a day at work!

AK is the only park we have skipped and we have done that twice. We never have been twice on one vacation.

Least favorite WDW park? DHS hands down. We only go there for Spectacle of Lights. Boring park...

I also have to say and agree with others DHS hands down. It seems to be more commercial and less Magical than the rest IMO.

I would do DHS first. If you wait until later in the day you will not be able to do the headliner attractions: Toy Story Midway Mania, Rock 'n Roller Coaster & Tower of Terror.

I think AK and DHS are good parks to do in one day; however, that hopper option is a big price to pay for one day of park hopping.

Definitely DHS - this is one we'd skip except for my 4-year old's obsession with Star Wars ;)

This year the plan is to hit DHS at rope drop, do TSM and ToT, then DH and older DSs will head to a water park. DS4 and I will do the Star Wars stuff, then go back to the resort for a swim. There's really just nothing else anyone in the family is interested in doing there.

AK, on the other hand, has the best shows, we love just wandering around all the trails, and EE (IMO) is the best ride in all DW.

For me my least favourite park at WDW is the MK. The reason for this is that I visit DLRP quite often and prefer the MK style park there over the MK at WDW. So for me at WDW I prefer the other 3 parks.
