Where is the Alton Brown choice? I can't stand that guy!

I agree with you. I used the Other choice on the poll.

I don't care for Sandra Lee either. I actually like Racheal and love Giada. By the way-who won the Next Food Start this year? I want to know so I can decide if I will watch thier show.

Sandra Lee... hands down.

I want my own show where I pick out a box of Budget Gourmet from the freezer and stick it in the microwave.

Oh, and Bobby Flay reminds me of all the culinary arts primadonnas I went to school with.

Giada's head is WAAAYYY too big for her neck and body-

THANK YOU Tracey... I thought I was the only one that thought this.... :rotfl2: :lmao: :happytv:

I voted for Gaida as well. However, Rachel Ray's EVOO and icky recipes/ideas are a VERY close second!

And of course Alton Brown wouldn't be on the list! Who could possibly dislike Alton???
Exactly!
I was seriously wondering why my favorite food network fella wasn't even on the list, but of course this is exactly why!! :thumbsup2

For worst I chose Mario... :faint: borrriiiiing!!!

Thanks again for another great topic Papa D!

I voted Rachel. She is too loud for me and every single recipe has onions and tomatoes in it?? Every one! LOL!! Also she is up against Anthony Bourdain for airtime here and I am IN LOVE with Anthony Bourdain...lol at myself. I normally do not care for t.v. or movie personalities to that extent but, I'd run away from home with Tony Bourdain. :teeth:

I laughed at most of these comments. Even though I like Paula Deen, I often wonder if she is drunk as a skunk when she does her show. Sometimes she is just a little too happy about that shrimp pie!

Sandra Lee! That woman needs a sandwhich and a slap! I find her whole show very irritating. Also, how much can she show off her large ****s. I am a married straight woman and her breasts distract me, but other than the chest issue, I find her personality very annoying.

And hoenstly, does anyone really make THAT big of a deal about how their table looks, or their "tablescape??"

Although our shows are different here in Canada, my vote is for Rachel hands down... her voice is like fingernails on a chalkboard

Yup...I find this show annoying also.

I actually like Bobby Flay. I'm surprised to see that so many of you don't like him. I think he's a real, down to earth, kind of guy.
I'd love to have him cook for me.

I know someone who knows him EXTREMELY well. You couldn't be further from the truth.

Still, I would love for him to cook for me as well.

hmm. Got to go with Bobby Flay. First saw him on Grillin and Chillin with him and Jack McDavid. They had a lot of chemistry together. Somehow Jack disappeared from tv and they went with Bobby, Ahhh too bad. How many shows does the Food Network give him, for they're advertising a new one of Flay's this summer. Also, if I remember correctly, he had a rematch on Iron Chef (since he lost the first one) and the rematch came off as staged to me. Flay gives me the impression that he is full of himself. If they have an Iron Chef America match with cilantro as the secret ingredient, Flay will win hands down. They're all talented by the way.

edited: Had Jack's last name wrong.

Ick, Bobby Flay...I've never watched more than two minutes of his show. So smarmy, and he always has those hostesses. I love Alton Brown, he gives a ton of info plus good recipes. Rachael Ray and her "Sammies"...I won't even look at a foodnetwork recipe w/ that word in it...I also don't want to see low carb recipes or recipes where it should be ground beef and she is using ground turkey...gross. I like Giada, make lots of her recipes. I wouldn't cook anything of Sandra Lees other than the cocktails...like the tablescape ideas but would never spend that much money. I do a beautiful table but I don't spend a zillion dollars on them either, and I've never been and am never going to the dollar store. Paula Deen...she doesn't bother me but I'm not going to make her fattening recipes and I don't want to see her sons and husband...from what I understand she is the one w/ the restaurant and foodnetwork contract ? Ina Garten, good recipes, but can we all say way toooo big portions ? My fave of all time is Julia Child, taking into account the times her show aired...

Jack owns a restaurant here in Philly that is pretty good, but fairly pricey. Funny though, some days the food is great, other days, not so much.

I voted for Sandra, just because I find her annoying. But then I remembered Michael Ciarello (sp?), and he really gets on my nerves. He sounds like a used car salesman trying to sell you a clunker! And he has never made something I would consider eating.

I'm glad to see that no one has picked on my man Tyler. He can come over and teach me how to boil water any day!

Michael does come across that way.

Tyler is :goodvibes

I can't take Paula. Her recipes don't appeal to me and the accent is over the top and hard to handle.
