I am curious........even with the best discount ever - which resort would you not pay money to stay in and why?

For me -
Any of the values - noisy (thin walls), ridiculously long bus lines and too many kids (I could hear them while I am trying to sleep)
The Contemporary - I just think this hotel is ugly.

Any of the values and moderates. I don't want to sound like a snob but I'll only stay at Deluxes.

Animal Kingdom. The theme doesn't appeal to me at all and it's so far away from Epcot.

Polynesian. It reminds me of the Brady Bunch and the Hawaiian theme doesn't really do anything for me.

Contemporary. It looks like a toaster.

Wilderness Lodge. I live in Oregon and I don't want to stay in a hotel that's supposed to look like where I live. I want to see palm trees when I'm in Florida.

Any hotel off site! I would never turn down a chance to stay at any of the Disney hotels, I love everything about it. I just have no interest in staying off site whatsoever.

I've stayed at ASMusic once, and don't think I would stay at any of the all stars again - maybe it was just bad timing, Pop Warner was there, but the whole thing just left me with a bad feeling about the all stars.
CBR - although I like the theming, it's just too big, and the room we were in was very worn.

I agree with none of the values. My family is spoiled. While we will stay in a moderate if we have to, we much prefer deluxe. But you would not catch us dead in a value. Well, we might die if we had to stay there.

As to the post above me-

You don't like AKL or WL??? Those are by far our favorite resorts. I understand if you live in Oregon and don't want to stay at WL, but AKL?!?!?! We stayed there last trip and LOVED it. Give it a chance, the awe to waking up with a giraffe outside your window more than makes up (imho, of course) for the secluded location.

Port Orleans Riverside

We were stuck WAY in the back of the resort and watched bus after bus go by already full from the main building bus stop. Maintenance in pool area was poor and worst of all, the housekeeping was terrible. Previous guest's hair still in the tub (ugh!) and crumbs everywhere. Not a good trip.

All Star Music. I would stay at any of the other values. I don't like the theme of ASMu and it's too spread out.

I wouldn't stay off-site. I wouldnt' stay at a value for the same reaons you stated - UNLESS the rate were something like $39.99 and I was going down for an extra trip - I wouldn't do it for our major trip.

Same here...the values, off-site...I'd probably be disappointed to stay in the Contemporary for a whole stay and be looking across the lake at the beautiful WL, Poly and GF...it's just an issue of decor and architectural style. However, I haven't stayed in the new rooms and hear they're beautiful...

I only go to Epcot, so I like to stay at a resort that's close to Epcot. I do go to the Magic Kingdom for a couple of hours sometimes. I'd hate to have to take the bus to Epcot everyday. I love just walking to Epcot whenever.

Seeing animals outside of my room wouldn't be exciting to me and the nature theme doesn't appeal to me.

I prefer the Epcot resorts and the Grand Floridian. :)

::yes:: ::yes::

I don't think having a preference makes you a snob, MinnieM21. If you said you were too good to stay in any resort other than your 4 or 5 favorites - well, you would be much worse than a snob. :rotfl2: I can understand the desire to stay in an EPCOT area resort if that is the only park you visit.
If I decide to stay at Beach Club or Yacht Club in 07, I might PM you for some suggestions. I am doing a Deluxe then. :)

Any off-site hotels and POP. I am so surprised by all of the people that love POP we have stayed in all of the values (which is not our favorite thing to do) but to us POP was the one we would not go back to. My husband would prefer to not go to any of the values... Just my thoughts ;) ...

Grand Floridian.... Stayed there once and it was not worth what I paid even with a discount. I am willing to pay for service, but I was not willing to pay those rates for service worse then the All Stars.

I think it's official...I'm a snob! :rotfl2: :rotfl: Just kidding. :)

Feel free to PM, I'd be happy to answer any of your questions and give some suggestions. :)

For me, it's a 3-way tie between Caribbean Beach, Port Orleans Riverside & Pop Century. Have stayed at all of them and don't plan to again. Way too spread out for my taste, plus did not have good experiences with CM's there. The food at Pop was gross and did not care to walk across a dimly lit parking lot at CBR to get to my room at night from the bus stop.

Any of the Value resorts for me too....

They're noisy, crowded and small. I'll admit, I'm not a fan of the moderates either......We tried Coronado & really didn't like it. Carribbean Beach had a major bug issue, but the POFQ was ok.

ROTFL!!!!! :rotfl2: It does!!!

No opinion on resorts, since I haven't stayed in one yet. I'm still researching them, but will probably stay at a value so we can go often.

I'm flexible. I wouldn't rule any hotel out if the price was right. The people who got the Holiday Inn for $1 made me kinda jealous.
