Least expensive villa for 5?

Thats great news, we were checking for August for my nephew/fam of 5 and told them all they could get was a 2BR at SSR/OKW (no BLT 1BR's), we will call back about the others (BCV/BWV/VWL) for 1BR's-they really want one of those if possible.

Did DVC release this news-or is it just for those "in the know". Thanks Diane.

To simmarize, currently the fewest points for 5 with the proper bedding and to be in the same room-AKV 1BR is first, BLT 1BR is second and OKW 2BR is 3rd until they get the pullout chairs-correct?

Officially, all the older one bedrooms only sleep four. But for a long time, unofficially, DVC did allow the fifth person to be three or older. But they did not provide the extra bedding, towels, etc that you would need for the fifth person.

As Deb says, this has always been unofficial. The official line is "4 in a one bedroom, except those units that sleep five)." Being unofficial, DVC could pull the rug out at a moments notice and not let you use ME or EMH......

From a legal and contractual standpoint it's quite clear what the occupancies are. Disney in general has a policy of allowing ONE infant if under 3. DVC has unofficially allowed 5 regardless of age in all 1 BR but it's likely that will change for those properties that can't fit the extra chair in. What's a little unclear is whether they can officially change the occupancy of VB/OKW etc. My thoughts are they can if they want by changing to POS and they can do that without a member vote since it's an enhancement, they could not go the reverse without a vote of actual members even to reverse such a change.
