If we stay at the Dolphin Easter weeks, I know extra fees are added to TS buffets. We can not do DDP if we stay at the Dolphin. We still may do some buffets - but....

Are there good inexpesive TS places to eat when you pay OOP ?

I thought of The Plaza Restaurant - if we do not order the ice cream sudaes.
At the Dolphin we could do Picabu's CS.

:confused3 Anyone else have a suggestion ? :confused3

Please help us. My DH wants one TS each day and I am trying to keep the costs to a minimum.

Thank you for your advice

I also thought of LTT for lunch - nice ala cart items.

Any EPCOT, AK or DHS suggestions ?

Can you make lunch your main TS meal of the day? To keep the cost down, I find a late lunch at Biergarten to be a good value. Lunch goes up until 3 - there's no way you'll want dinner. Also the whispering canyon cafe is a good value for lunch. If there are holiday surcharges, I don't know if the value is as good.

You can also get some nice sandwiches for lunch at the Grand Floridian Cafe and enjoy the beautiful hotel. Also, Kona is a decent value for lunch.

in my opinion the restaurants at the resorts tend to have higher-quality food for more reasonable prices. i also think late lunches are the way to go. i tried The Wave at the contemporary last week and thought it was great! awesome food, cool atmosphere, decent prices, and only a quick monorail ride away from the magic kingdom :thumbsup2

Check out the menus here or on allearsnet.com and check what you think you would eat. Plaza is the least expensive inside the parks that I have been to. We can generally eat for $40 including tip at most resturants at lunch time if we get either an appetizer or dessert to share and a meal each. We generally drink water- that includes a tip.

Thank you for the late lunch ideas.
I will check the allears website and price out some late lunch meals for us.
Thank you again !

The most inexpensive place we ate on our January trip was, hands-down, Sci-Fi at DHS.

The Plaza & Sci Fi are 2 that come to mind. Also there are many dining option on The Boardwalk - from hot dog carts to gourmet food. ESPN Club on The Boardwalk isn't terribly expensive either, in my opinion.

There's also Rainforest Cafe at DTD and AK - I don't think they're way overpriced either.

Beaches and Cream at the BC has inexpensive choices. It'd be a good place for lunch. They don't take ADRs though.

MK-
The Plaza
DHS-
50s Prime Time Cafe
Sci Fi
Mama Melrose's (Entrees run $12-$20)

Beaches and Cream at Beach Club
The Fountain at the Dolphin

If you get a sandwich, salad, or burger at Rainforest Cafe it would be about $10-20 but a lot of their entrees (seafood, beef, pork, chicken) are $25-30. I would be careful here because this place has some pricey entrees.
