Least crowded kiosks (DHS) and CM handholding?

Two-pronged question(s), but both related to our attempt at DHS rope drop, where half our group will be coming in on CM Maingate Guest Passes (and thus, no pre-booking).

Right now, we plan to hightail it to Mania at RD, leaving my DM67 (thats Dear Mother, not Dippy Mate or Dolly Madison) to try and make FP+ picks for the rest of the day. Oh did I mention we're going the week after 4th of July? Well we are. Cuz we done have the smarts like that.

Anyway, has there been any consensus or discussion about which kiosks are the least busy first thing in the morning? I would assume anything within close proximity to the least popular morning attractions, but I thought I would seek input. (Short Circuit? Johnny 5? Anyone?)

Second, I assume there are still CMs manning each kiosk. If my Mom shows up with everyone's tickets/magic bands, will someone be able to basically do all the grouping of tickets for her? I'm planning to give her a wishlist of sorts, with hopeful attractions, and the times that we will/won't be in the park, and let a CM help from there. We visit often, so our must-do's are more like maybe-do's, but it's always nice to hit our favorites.

Thanks for the insight!

as long as you're all linked as friends/family in MDE, she'll only need her magic band/ticket. From what I've seen, there's always a handful of CMs to walk each person through the process.

Literally LOL'd. My folks 68 stopped over at DHS not too long ago and they said the CM at the kiosk basically handled everything for them and very quickly so they could get on with their day.

Is your DM the CM? (Lol) I'm pretty sure the CM will have to be the one to get the FP's for their guests.

FWIW, my DM is the CM ;)

What we have in our group that day is as follows:

- 4 AP holders, each with a magic band
- 1 CM with a Maingate
- 3 Family Members (me, my DW"29'ish", and DS6) on Guest Passes from CM Maingate
- 1 Family (my DD4) on a 4-Day MYW ticket

We are all staying at OKW and are linked together in MDE through that ressie. However, no one is prebooking FP+'s because of the Maingate/Guest Passes in our group.

Also, TouringPlans mentioned that the Guest Relations window *outside* of DHS is a FP+ kiosk. Do you think we can book there before the park opens? Or will they not be accessible until the official opening that morning?

It grows curiouser and curiouser. As always, thanks Dis'ers for the help and thoughts!

From what I saw last week, FP+ kiosks are near deserted in the mornings. We had a FP for TSMM at around 10 and the kiosk by the ride only had 1 or 2 families at it. So for first thing in the morning, she could really go to any.

Also yes, the CMs there will take control of the process and thank god for that I can't even imagine if everyone had to figure it out on their own.

I also heard you can book FPs at concierge at your hotel, so perhaps you could do that before going to the park?

Doesn't have to be the ONE to get the FP's but does have to be there. A "unique name" has to be assigned to both his MEP and the Guest Passes (if it hasn't already been done) at FP selection the first time.

We are there now and did DHS studios yesterday. Every kiosk was well manned and quick to use. We came off Toy Story at 2:30 and had Star Tours as 4th fastpass in less than 2 minutes.
