Least Crowded Days of the Week?

Which days are typically the least crowded for Universal in November?

Sunday through Thursday are not crowded in November. You picked a great time to visit.

You will absolutely love it in Novenber. It's not so hot and there are no crowds. The Friday, Saturday, and Sunday after Thanksgving are the only crowded days.

Please feel free to ask any questions about Universal/Islands of Adventure here. We love newbies to Universal here and everyone here is very helpful. If we don't know the answers, we will find out.

I could use some advice on what not to put my 4 year old on even though she is 40" tall. For instance, would Spiderman be too intense for her? A favorite resturant for kids?

We went to Universal for the first time when my kids were 9 and 10 years old. Both were thrill seeking boys. So I can't help you there. I would suggest you start a new thread with this question so those with younger children can help you. They might not see your question buried in this post.

Hi Hunter. I have been to US and IOA with my kids and another family who has small children. We were all able to go on Spiderman (its like watching a cartoon with the bad guys fighting). If your four year old is scared easily then it probably isn't a wise choice. The roller coasters all have higher height restrictions. ET is really cute and all the rides in Suess Land will be appropriate. You willl be suprised at all you an do with a four year old her. have a great time. We are going in August! Woo Hoo!

While I'm new to posting here, I have been reading and learning alot! Thank you for all the information all of you share. Now I'm asking you to share a bit more with me please.

DH and I are gong to RPH (our first time at Universal) arriving Nov. 10. We will be there 3 days before moving over to Disney CB for 9 days. We are Disney veterans, but thought we'd give Universal a try this time. Really unsure what to expect. Bought the book Universal Orlando by Monaghan and have been reading everything I can here... but still have a few questions.

What are the park hours in Nov? On the 10th we should be arriving at RPH around noon, do they allow early check in or must we wait till 4 for a room? Since the 10th will just be 1/2 day which park would you go to? I'm not a big wet ride person, but have promised DH one day of wet rides. Is it doable, going between from US and IOA to do all wet rides in 1 day? Since we will be eating 2 breakfasts, 3 lunches, and 3 dinners there, any suggestions for specific meals not to be missed? We are checking out on the 12th, but don't intend to leave the parks till after closing, finishing the day with dinner at City Walk, can we keep our car parked at RPH?

It look like the hours will be 9:00 AM until 6:00 PM when you are there.

As soon as you get there you can get your room passes even if your room isn't ready. You can also start using "front of the line" on the day of check-in and also the day of check-out. The rooms are usually ready by noon but you never know. So no matter when you get there, you can store your luggage and hit the parks.

I'd hit Universal first as it is a more leisurely park and you will probably be tired after travelling.

There aren't any truly wet rides at Universal. You might get a little wet on Jaws and Twister but you won't be soaked. The wet rides are at IoA. On both Dudley's Ripsaw Falls and Popeye's River Rafts at IoA, you will be drenched. You will get a wet at Jurassic Park also. If you are sitting in the front you will be drenched but even in the back your face will get wet.

I like Oak tree tavern at IoA for a fast lunch. The BBQ ribs are terrific. I also like Confisco's at IoA. We also like Louie's Italian restaurant at Universal Studios. All of these are fairly cheap. But there are some nicer restaurants like Emiril's. I'll let some others offer up suggestions as we eat cheap, fast meals at the park.

You can leave your car there until midnight the day of checkout without a problem. If you need to leave it longer, I am sure they would let you.

Phamton, thank you so much for answering all of my questions. I have really enjoyed reading and learning from the disboard! Since I've got a few months till we go I'm learning all I can. When it comes to Disney I am a fanatic! I will have an itenerary that will tell you where we will be at just about any given minute of everyday. From what I have read that type of detail might not be needed for Universal, but I would rather be prepared!
