Hi

I am from Australia and i am gong to Disney World in December 2004. My family and i will probably be going to Disneyland in California sometime in 2005. What would you all recomend going in June/July, or september/october. Which time is less busy? I have been to Disneyland before on NEW YEARS DAY, and it was PACKED!!!! please let me know what you think.

Thanx

Tim

Of the two choices Sept/Oct would be the best choice. June/July will be busy - very busy. Especially this year with the 50th Anniversary celebration.

I went in October 5 or 6 years ago. We were there over Halloween. I think the 31st was even on a Saturday. The crowds were the lightest I had ever seen on a Saturday.

Part of the reason was at the time Disneyland was not doing anything for the holiday. (this was before the haunted mansion makeover). And Knotts Berry Farms turns into Knotts Scary Farms. I also think Universal had some Halloween blowout that weekend.

It was a great visit. We now like to go in early December when the crowds are also light and all the holiday decorations are up.

Good luck on your planning.

The very best times to go are the days right after Labor Day. Most CA schools are in session and the parks are still on their late night summer schedules. We always used to go at this time of year when our DDs were young and the lines were very short and the weather is still warm!

For us people downunder when is labour day? what month and date?

Thanks for your help

You just can't beat the first weeks of December in Disneyland. If crowds are a concern make sure you go after the Candlelight processional days and after the cast party days. The parks usually close early for a few days for CM holiday parties. The days right after that is when we go to enjoy all the holiday Disney spirit without all the crowds. This year's Christmas trip for us is Dec.8-11.

The holiday decorations will make you go :earseek:

I think anytime after labor day , through the second week in December is the best time to go !

True, but avoid Thanksgiving week (particularly Thurs-Sun). That's the last (or 4th if there's more than 4 Thursdays) Thursday of Nov.
