I love my black cast iron skillet and I have an enameled cast iron dutch oven that I use all of the time. The dutch oven has seen better days and I would love to replace it with one from Le Creuset but they are very pricey. I know they are heavy but that doesn't bother me. Does anyone have experience with this line of cookware.

My wife absolutely loves hers. I can tell you that the dutch oven cleans up very easily.

My SIL has one and loves it. She actually got it at TJ Maxx.

Oh how I envy that line.;)

I have a glass cooktop and am pretty sure that I would crack it if I had that line.

I would do it if I were you. It will outlive you and you can pass it on.

That's exactly how I'm justifying it to myself:). I have a professional set of Caphalon and my favorite pan is still my 25 year old well seasoned cast iron skillet.

We have a glass cooktop and haven't had any problems using the dutch oven.

We also had a glass cooktop and I never had any issues w/ my dutch ovens. I have two - one large, one medium size. I use them for roasts, stews, soups and even jam making. They are very versatile. And they are super easy to clean.

Do you have a Le Creuset outlet near you? You can find some good deals there. I bought both of mine there (separate times). The colors had been discontinued in their retail stores. I wasn't picky on color so it worked out for me.

We have a glass cooktop and haven't had any problems with our Le Creuset. We had the cooktop and cookware for 13 years.

This is amazing cookware and bakeware.

I have a le creuset dutch oven that I love! my mom got a cheaper version (the Martha stewart one I think?), and hers did not hold up, mine still looks like new. quality lasts.

Yep. Mine is a Mario Batalli (sp) and it did not hold up at all
