Hi, can anyone give me some feedback on this restaurant? I've been dying to go here for awhile, but can't seem to get in. I'd like to know if I'm missing out on much. lol

It is a lovely quaint atmosphere with exceptional filet mignon and Canadian Cheddar Cheese soup- the maple creme brulee is fabulous as well. Keep trying to get in (at least once) it's one of the "must do" restaurants of EPCOT.

Le Cellier is one of the hardest restaurants to get into on Disney property (along side CRT). We have been going the last couple of times (with our third time coming this September). It really has become one of our favorite places to eat. Both DH and I get the Filet Mignon with mushroom risotto, the cheddar cheese soup, and then for dessert I get the Chocolate Moose (spelled correctly) while DH gets a Canadian beer as his dessert. Our DD7 and DD9 also loves the food here as well, if you have a child that loves steak, they have one for the younger crowd that my DD9 really enjoys while my DD7 loves their pizza. It is so hard to get into because the restaurant only holds up to 100 guests (very small restaurant). Try looking for odd times to go or even lunch. We have never eaten dinner here, but we do love the lunch. Good luck and keep on trying.

Totally overrated. The food tends to taste salty and the steaks are pretty cheap tasting for what they charge. Barely a notch above Outback or some other steakhouse chain. We have given this place a couple of chances (thought maybe they just had a few bad nights) and it did nothing but disappoint. I still don't understand how so many people like it but then again this is just one guys opinion. If you can get an ADR, take it, try it for yourself. If you can't get an ADR, IMO, your not missing out on much.

Besides being small, Le Cellier has secured a reputation for fabulous steaks and that cheddar cheese soup, so that makes it a hard to get reservation. However, you can tell that many find it to be vastly overrated, making Le Cellier one of the most talked about restaurants on property. For my money, Le Cellier is fine: not exceptional but not awful, either. Steaks are good, but nowhere near the best I've had. The cheese soup is quite salty which you may or may not enjoy. And the tables are very close together, so you'll feel like you're dining with a larger party most times. However, none of these reasons is enough not to go to Le Cellier. Keep trying (and as one poster mentioned, try odd times) and perhaps you'll snag a reservation somewhere along the way. However, if you don't get one, don't be concerned that you are missing out on a topnotch experience. It's worth going to but not worth longing for. ;)

For me it goes like this If you have the DP it is a good deal if you are paying cash they are way overpriced for the quality of the steak they serve.

If you like the steak sandwich's on the lunch menu they are great at a fair price for paying cash.
If you want steak I would try Shula's or Yachtman both are true steakhouses and such the quality and prices but not far off from LC.
Otherwise most resorts have similiar steak quality at a better price as LC

Do not get me wrong the steak at LC is good...but there is other steaks at regular resort restaurants I think are better.
5 years ago I could walk in anytime and the prices were in line with the quality now since a review in an unnamed book everyone wants to eat there and the prices of the steaks on the upper end of the menu keep going up. This makes it difficult as it is very small but I was always able to get reservations if you keep trying.

The food itself has probably almost become irrelevant at this point. It's like a game now. It's so popular and so hard to get a table that people feel like they have to try to get an ADR now for that reason alone - you feel a sense of victory when you get one.

I will be trying it for the first time on September 1st. The steak is not what attracted me though (although I love steak)...it was the cheddar cheese soup and the maple creme brulee. You can get a steak anywhere. Those other items are more unique.

we went here last time we went to Disney. I had no idea it was such a popular place. I remember it being good but not fabulous.

We liked the atmosphere, and our server was one of the best ever. The food, however, was about what I'd get at Outback. Good, satisfying, not wow...best ever.

I'd go there again if dd really wanted to, but otherwise not really a must for me. If you really want to try it, keep checking back for openings. But if you don't get it, I don't think it is a trip ruining thing...plenty of other good places to eat.

I agree with the above. We have been many times and it doesn't seem to get any better.

The chedder cheese soup and the mussel app are both excellent. The chocolate cake is outstanding. I think the entrees are just okay. The strip steak I had wasn't that great but the side of potatoes was very good. My DH likes their filet with mushroom risotto but we've had much better steaks than this but again this side is very good. The bread they serve too is very good. I think next time I go, I just won't get a steak because everything else is good, I'll try something else. But we've found that in every place in Disney that their steaks aren't good quality but the fish entrees & vegetarian/pasta or chicken entrees are good everywhere. I've had the burger before and it was very good but I've heard they changed it.

Their filet with cream cheese mash potatoes is sooooo good! Also the atmosphere is nice.

The Mushroom filet is to die for. Much better steak than Shula's or Yachtsman imo. Get in this place if you can.

I really enjoyed Le Cellier although the steak was a little on the salty side. It's definitely a step up from Outback, but a step below a really high-end steakhouse. The macaroni and cheese was TO DIE FOR and the s'mores dessert was one my all time favorite Disney desserts!

Love it!

The filet mignon & cheese soup was delicious! We are eating there 2 times on our trip in Dec. as we like it so much!

Lots of folks say it isn't special but kind of like Outback. But...I happen to love Outback & is my favorite restaurant.

By the way I just noticed an opening for 2 on Dec 10th at 9:20 p.m.
Anybody need that day?

If you are on the DDP and are a plain meat and potatoes kind of family who is not very adventurous then your family can get a low end chain steakhouse meal for one credit. If you are on the DDP and willing to branch out there are plenty of other better 1 credit TS meals to be had.

LC gets rave reviews because you can get a steak for 1TS credit. It is the "hottest" 1TS reservation out there. CRT (Cindarella's Royal Table) the restaurant in the castle used to be a 1TS meal until a few years ago. Once it went to 2TS those people who raved about CRT are now complaining how it isn't worth the hefty price tag. Disney prices things according to supply and demand. I fully expect LC to go to 2TS at the beginning of the year. They will still fill tables but it won't be the absolute impossible reservation that it used to be.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I'd definitely like to try Le Cellier at least once, so I will continue to try and get us in for our upcoming trip, but if I can't, than there is always next time. =)
