We're going to be dining here next month. I don't really like red meat or chocolate. Since we're on the dining plan we get an apt, main course, and dessert. Any suggestions on what I should order? TIA.

I'd recommend chosing another restaurant. Even the beef I was served wasn't really that great. Check out Rose and Crown, Marrakesh or the incredible Chefs de France.

Here's my suggestion:

Start with the Cheddar Cheese soup, get the salmon for your entree and get the creme brulee or the sorbet for dessert. See if they have a Pinot Noir to pair with the salmon.

I think it's an excellent restaurant and you should give it a try!

Here's my suggestion if you dine at lunch:

Start with the Prince Edward Island Mussels with smoked bacon, corn, peppers and white wine butter. They are scrumptious.

Then order a sandwich or salad. The Calgary Maple Barbecue Chicken Sandwich is delicious.

The Maple Creme Brulee is an excellent dessert choice.

You will love LeCellier!

I would maybe agree with bicker, although we have not yet eaten at Le Cellier. (We have ADR's twice on our upcoming trip because we are big steak eaters).
For the best food it is generally best not to order fish at a steak place or steak at a seafood place. Restaurants tend to do one type of food best and everything else is just OK.

Not always true - Flying Fish has an awesome filet mignon!

I don't eat red meat either. Last year I had the salmon there and it was very good. The Chedder Cheese soup was delicious!

OK, here is what I would suggest:

Appetizer - Le Cellier Canadian Cheese Selection
It was a wonderful selection.

Entree - Grilled Pork Tenderloin
I would pick either this or maybe the Salmon - I am bored with Salmon.

Dessert - Maple Creme Brulee
It was fabulous!

I don't eat red meat and I don't like chocolate either.

At Le Cellier, I had the shrimp as an appetizer. It was really good, with a slightly sweet and spicy sauce, and the presentation is really cool (spilling out of a chinese take out box). For entree, I had the vegetarian sampler-Udon noodles, spicy cashew vinaigrette, mushroom potstickers, vegetable spring roll and a cucumber salad. We were too full for dessert, but they have a maple creme brulee on the menu, which is what I would have gotten if ordering dessert.

i love the 7 oz filet, very good! family members have gotten the salmon and enjoyed it (they substitute the side for the cream cheese mashed potatoes). also, either of the starter salads are great so give one of them a try. i liked the creme burlee for dessert.

I didnt pick the restuarant. So there is no choice there. I was thinking about getting the salmon but wondering if anyone had tried the pumpkin or butternut squash risotto?

I was also thinking the cheddar cheese soup and the creme brulee.
