Le Cellier vs Teppan Edo

Where should a group of 4 (3 over 21 and 1-6 year old child) eat at Teppen Edo or Le Cellier? The adults love Le Cellier but not sure if it would be boring for a 6 year old. The hot grill and "show" may be more her speed but the rest are not thrilled with eating with others at the same table but will do it. It has been a while since last ate at Le Cellier, what is the typical time frame for eating a normal dinner - 1 hour or more?

Is your 6 yr-old doing any other table service meals? I don't imagine Le Cellier would be any different than some of the others. I expect either Le Cellier or Teppan Ido would probably last 90 minutes or so. The "show" part at Teppan Ido only lasts about half of the meal anyway.

The only other table service is going to be Cinderella’s Royal Table. I think we will probably do Le Cellier

Teppan Edo really isn't all that exciting, IMHO. I would do Le Cellier if I had to choose between the two. If you like Japanese food, we much prefer Shiki-Sai in EP which is in the same building as Teppan Edo. I would allow 90 minutes for Le Cellier.

Take a look at the Le Cellier menu if you haven’t lately. We went in early May and it had just changed the previous day.

The tables in LC are so close together than you may as well be eating with others. Go with TE

We prefer Le Cellier to Teppan Edo because even though we can more or less get both at home, for the latter it's better at home. My kids were fine at LC.

LeCellier is an over-crowded signature-dining-in-price-only experience located in a basement. Frankly, there are much better locations to get a steak at WDW, some of which are cheaper. As for the 6 year old, I can't see her enjoying it over any other restaurant at WDW.

Teppan Edo is a Benihana clone. We took the 6 year old there this last trip (making a total of 3 adults and her) and she LOVED it. She was engaged with the experience, more so than we ever imagined she would be! Plus, the food already cut to bite sized pieces meant that she didn't have to use a knife (a skill she's still learning). Our favorite part was when she asked the chef how he learned to do all that, and he replied "I watched it on youtube.", generating laughter form everyone at the table.

This is a common complaint but it never bothered us. We were too focused on the food to notice the people around us. Besides we love making new friends at WDW.

Of course our visits there were back when it was a single credit on the DDP and the prices weren't the equivalent of the GDP of a small country.
