So, cast is me (40) DH (43), DD (8) and DS(6). We are going 10/3 - 10/9. Last year was the first year we went to DW, and my kids LOVED, LOVED, LOVED character dining. We went to CP, H&V and LTT.

So, this year, we have the dining plan, and have made the following reservations:

Tusker House (BF)
CRT (BF)
Ohana (D)
Teppan Edo (D)
Sci Fi (L)
Le Cellier (D - although at 4:30)

The day at Epcot that we have Le Cellier is our FW day. We will be there at RD, and stay until around 12:30. We will head back to CSR, then back to Epcot for what we missed. Staying for illuminations.

I am considering cancelling Le Cellier and adding Garden Grille. I need feedback one way or the other

Thanks

Well Lecellier is my favorite and IMHO one of the best dining experiences in WDW... I think you should keep it.. looks like you have plenty of kid friendly choices... treat yourself and dine at Lecellier.:thumbsup2
Garden grille gets MEH dinner review standard buffet fare.

Garden Grille is to Le Cellier as McDonald's is to Ruth Chris

Don't cancel Le Cellier

My kids love Garden Grill. We could not get an ADR for the week before you are going. So try before you cancel anything. We did LeCeller once and would not go back with kids again.

do not cancel! Garden Grill is o.k. food...but Le Cellier is wonderful. Just eat a light lunch that day (maybe split a couple...then if you're hungry after Illuminations, get a big snack or split a couple more meals among you.)

Garden Grille is to Le Cellier as McDonald's is to Ruth Chris

Don't cancel Le Cellier

Totally agree! ::yes:: To put Le Cellier and Garden Grille together in the same subject line is laughable! :rotfl:

My kids love Garden Grille, but twice on one vacation was more than enough for us grown ups! :sad2:

We ate at Garden Grille last week and it was the worst meal I've ever eaten in Disney. DEFINITELY go to Le Cellier. I'll never eat at Garden Grille again.

We ate there last Saturday - and it was outstanding - our 2nd best meal in our 9 nights - first was Jiko - but that was 2 credits so should have been better. My daughter-in-law had the veal chop - it was amazing - actually sweet and huge. I had the filet - which was Ruth Chris quality. My older son had the NY strip - also fabulous and big. My 12 year old had the coffee-rubbed Kansas City strip - which was the largest of the steaks but not quite as tender as the NY.

Don't cancel! And be glad you have an early reservation - ours was for 6:05 and we weren't seated till 6:55. There were still folks waiting to go in at 9 when we came out - and the park had just closed!

I understand that Le Cellier has much better food quality. I am not questioning that. I am concerned however because I have heard many people say that it is not a good restaurant with kids. (Tables too close together, dinner is TOOO long, etc). Since the kids are 6 and 8, do you think it will be an issue?

We took our girls 5 and 7 and they loved Le Cellier, especially the chocolate moose desert :goodvibes We love GG but I would stick with Le Cellier anyday. The waitress there was really sweet and gave both our girls tinkerbell pins. They had a great time. And the kidcot stop is right outside if you are waiting to be seated they can make a mask.

We went to le cellier with two four year olds and a two year old and it was fine. My dd, the 2 year old fell asleep and they actually allowed us to bring in a stroller so she could sleep in it. Yes it's tight in there and we pushed the stroller practically under the table but it was fine. The boys, the 4 year olds were just fine. There were other children there as well. If i were you i would NOT cancel le cellier for garden grill. Le Cellier was our 2nd favorite meal (2nd to boma) and garden grill was our worst meal, inedible.

Food is far superior at LeC., BUT....I dont think very kid friendly.....we did take our teens 2 years ago...they were fine with it.....We went last year during free dining....I wasnt as impressed last year......Seems to have gone down hill a bit to me.....smaller portions........nickle and dimed you for everything......For $35 you get good steak & small potato.....a few breadsticks...that was it........salad was extra, beer was $5-6.......we split desserts......

As far as for small kids...its dark & quiet, tables are close..its like a cellar (huh)!!!! I would try it (so you can say you have been there).....but dont give it the big build up everyone else does........I think its over rated.........Not close to a Ruth Chris.....IMO.......

Here is a LeCellier dessert.........

I second that. We didn't care for Garden Grille. OK food terrible service. It's only redeeming fact was the characters but we will never eat here again. Love LeCellier, so did the kids.
