Has anyone heard what the plans are for March when LeCellier becomes a 2TS restaurant? Will they keep their current menu, or introduce a new one?

I have heard they will overhauling the menu. I have not heard what will be on the new menu though just that there will changes to it! :confused3

When in March? We're there from 3/3 -3/10 with Le Cellier ressies on the 6th and 9th.

Thanks,
Bill From PA

It begins 3-1-11. Not worth 2 IMHO.:confused3

They say they are going to have a new menu.

Hopefully they are going to add some better quality steaks if they plan on charging 2TS.

I feel the steaks are the same quality as an outback.
Not bad, but but worth the money they charge.

Unless I see some good things on the menu I would not use 2TS credits.

Thanks, they got pricey from 2008 to 2009 as it was, we don't do The Plan, but we'll have to re-think this once we learn the new structure.

Thanks! I'm debating what to do. I need to make my ADR's in January, but I'm not sure I want to reserve Le Cellier for dinner without knowing what the menu looks like. We plan to reserve 4 signature restaurants for dinners (just 2 of us), but I'm hesitant to make an ADR, then decide it's not worth the 2TS and be shut out of other options.:confused3

According to all information that is now out, a new, seasonal (meaning frequently changing as they will be using seasonal ingredients) menu will be introduced for dinner as of March 1.

I have no interest in steaks, but had a blast having lunch at Le Cellier on Saturday (if you wonder what people order when they don't want steaks, I had chicken chipotle sausage and mussels) - am definitely going to check their new dinner menu to see what non-steak alternatives they come up with. Maybe it will be easier for those of us who do not use the dining plan to get reservations.

Bill, you should probably check for changes to the lunch menu as well.

Just as a side note, I had been worried about being shut out of 2 TS options as well on my last trip, we didn't decide until last minute to add the Signature Meals to our trip.

Even up to 3 weeks prior, we found that we could easily make ADRs at the 2 TS restaurants (including Flying Fish, Cali Grille, Jiko). So, I think that you'd be safe to make the ADRs at your "most wanted" restaurants, and also one night at Le Cellier. If the menu doesn't interest you, I'd bet money that there would still be a Signature left for you to reserve! :)

That's good to know. I wondered if the ADRs would be easier to get at the 2TS resort restaurants. I think I'm firm on FF & Narcoossee's, and I'm still trying to decide between LeCellier and HBD at the parks, or CG, Jiko, YS, and Citrico's at the resorts. The availability of ADRs may help me make my decision. Would I be right in assuming you also don't have to eat as early at the resorts to avoid a long wait as you do in the parks?

Jiko and CG were amazing dining experiences, IMHO. :woohoo:

But I think you're right. As far as early vs. late ressies, I found that it didn't really matter when dining at the resorts - for select restaurants. For the most popular ('Ohana, Boma, Whispering Canyon, etc), eating early is the way to go.

With the Signatures, I did find that it was just as easy to get into the restaurant at 8:30pm as it was getting in at 5:30pm.

Good luck!! :goodvibes

I think we'll probably plan to eat a "little" later...say 7:00. We don't usually plan to go back to a park in the evening, so I'd be just as content to enjoy the resorts and watch fireworks from there as try to rush through an early dinner to go back to a park.

One of the highlights of any of my vacations was when my husband and I got to experience the fireworks from the CG balcony... gorgeous. :goodvibes

It sounds like you have a great plan in order - you're going to have a wonderful time!!
