Wasn't sure whether this post should go into restaurants of dining plan board.
When I began researching restaurants a few months ago, I recall an option at Le Cellier where I could get the cheese soup in addition to an entree and dessert on the dining plan. I see from searching that it is a special for the dining plan, but I don't see it anywhere on the menu now. Is that option still current? I really want the cheese soup, and I think I would even pay to try it (or get it for my son on his dining plan meal:rolleyes1)
Can anyone point me to a link if this is still current?

Looks awesome! We have lunch reservations at Le Cellier and I know my DH and I are both going for this!

We are trying Le Cellier for the first time this Sept and Can't wait. I am dying to try the cheddar cheese soup.

We enjoyed Le Cellier on May 29, 2012 OOP...

I was returning since visiting in May 2010.... HAD To get the Cheddar Cheese soup and the filet....

The Prixe Fixe meal was available... only one in our party chose that I believe it was $29.95...

I got the Bowl of Cheddar Cheese soup, Filet with substituted Mashed potatoes (vs risotto).
This was the ONLY meal I have ever had with my family where EVERYONE was completely blown away....
So GLAD I booked this lunch....

Be very careful if you are ordering from the prix fixe menu and paying out of pocket. If you choose the less expensive entrees, it's entirely possible the meal would end up actually costing less if you buy the three courses a la carte.

The prix fixe menu exists primarily to appeal to users of the regular dining plan - and steer them to the less expensive entrees by giving them an appetizer.

Thanks for the photos, Tink. It looks great.

Yeah, I noticed the entrees were the lower priced ones. So I probably won't end up getting it. Depending on what my father chooses (he is OOP, we are DDP,) I will probably still order a bowl of soup for DS knowing that he won't eat it and I will get to, since I really want to try one of the steaks.

You are welcome OP... I was in the same 'boat' as you... we had lunch there and I HAD To have the cheddar cheese soup....and wanted the family to try it...Plus I HAD to have the mushroom filet, sub cream cheese potatoes.

I ended up sharing the mushroom filet with my son...

We all shared the soup... and DS ate some of his GF's food too but we cleaned most of the plates and I didn't feel any food was wasted.

TDC: good point... you got me looking up the menu...and I think we did okay... Her appy was $10 and entree was $24... Prixe Fixe at lunch was $29.99... but a good idea to check in the future.

Le Cellier was literally the ONLY Meal I've ever treated my family too where EVERYONE was hands down blown away by their meal....

Have a magical visit !

Mary
