I was reading on another board that if you are a table of 2 at Le Cellier, even with an ADR, you will end up waiting a long time because they give the tables out to parties of 3 or more before they will seat you.
Last November, a guy and his DW waited for 1 1/2 hours before getting seated with PS, while watching many larger parties who came in well after them, get seated first. That's so unfair!! Has anyone else encountered anything like that?
When I made my ADR recently for Le Cellier, the lady on the phone told me there was no seating for the time I wanted at 7pm. I called 90 days out 7am in the morning. She suggested that she would put down our party size for 3 so we can have the 7pm ADR, and when I arrive just to say the 3rd person can't make it. I asked if that would upset anyone and she said no, and that she does that all the time for people. Now I'm worried that when we finally get there, they will either not seat us because our party size has changed or they will make us wait a very long time.
Does anyone have an experience to share?
