I think I have my mind made up but I would love other opinions.
We're going during Free Dining. There are 10 of us - 5 adults; 2 teens (14); 3 kids (9, 8, 6). I made all of our ADR's back in February and was able to get Le Cellier @ 5:55 for 8 people. I figured my DB's 3 kids wouldn't really care for Le Cellier, so I made another ADR at Akershus @ 5:30 for 8 people. At the time, I thought that I could just modify each ADR down to the exact number of people who would go to each one. Later, I found that the only way to "modify" an ADR is to cancel it and rebook for the correct # of people. So what are my chances that I'll be able to cancel and rebook LC!
So I've recently polled everyone on which ADR they would want and have it down to: DB#1, his 3 kids, & the 2 teens = Akershus; DB#2, his GF = Le Cellier; mom & I - not completely decided and here's why:
1. Le Cellier's just so darned hard to get and I actually secured this gem that I have a hard time thinking of cancelling! On the other hand, I'm sure Akershus is fun; this is my nephews' and niece's first trip; and I don't want to miss them dining with the princesses (especially since my niece loves the princesses
)
2. Le Cellier's rumored to be a 2 TS credit dinner come January and, if so, I will probably not ever eat there as I hate spending 2 credits on one dinner. On the other hand, DB and the kids may never get to go to Disney again (mom is paying for this trip since she's "not getting any younger and who knows what may happen"
)
3. If mom and I go to Akershus, our ADR would be complete at 8 people and only 2 people would show at our Le Cellier ADR for 8 (6 people got sick?
). If mom and/or I decide to go to Le Cellier, I believe I would be charged $10 per person as a "no show" at Akershus which, since we're going during Free Dining, really isn't something to complain too hard about.
So, would you go to Le Cellier or Akershus?
