Le Cellier new menu? OFFICIAL New Menu Discussion

getting lunch reservations is going to be hellish now! I always thought LeCellier could be brought up to siganture, I really enjoy their food. But I will probably be on the lunch bandwagon, why not use 1ts especially being a filet fan. I would book dinner if I couldnt get it for lunch.

I wonder how long the filet will stay on the lunch menu once lunch becomes more popular than dinner.

I should auction off my lunch reservations LOL.

I have been going back and forward to keeping this. Not for the menu change but because we are paying OOP and am wondering if having lunch with 3 small children will do it justice.

That said I am planning a meal out with just hubby and I quite fancy the steak tatare maybe I should go the other way and change to dinner.

I haven't been here before so have nothing to compare it to.

Hello,
So are the mashed potatoes gone from the lunch menu as well??
Thanks!

I didn't know lunch would remain 1 TS credit. Although I'd probably pay OOP for lunch at Le Cellier (which will be impossible to get now I'm sure).

Le Cellier Steakhouse Graduates to ‘Signature’ Dining Experience
posted on March 2nd, 2011 by Pam Brandon, Disney Parks Food Writer

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Le Cellier Steakhouse, one of the most popular Epcot World Showcase restaurants, has a much-anticipated new chef and new dinner menu that debuts this week. The steakhouse concept remains (and the lunch menu isn’t changing), but wow, the dinner menu elevates this restaurant to the top tier of Disney dining.

This is direct from Disney Parks Blog. There was alot more and it may have already been "confirmed" here that lunch would stay the same but this is the closest to "confirmed" I could find. So Yay!!! I have my reservation for August so I guess I'm set!!

I wonder if the new chef will mean that the food will be less salty????the 2 times I have tried LC- the food was "seawater" salty and inedible to me

We pay OOP, so I'm hoping the new menu warrants the prices. If so, we'll start going to LC again. We love dining in WS at night, but LCdF is about the only place we dine at for dinner that's not a Signature. I will say, if the filet is the same, it is not Signature quality, IMO. Hopefully, the other entrees will be.

I find it funny that they have a more expensive entree on their 1 TS lunch than many of the entrees on their 2 TS dinner.

Can anyone confirm they will still serve the pretzel bread for dinner?

And has anyone seen a kids' menu yet for dinner?

I'm a bit bummed that the dinner menu doesn't have the trio appetizer - that's what I order for dinner instead of an entree! I wonder if they'll let me order it for dinner??

We'll see if I keep my ADR. We were going to pay OOP and not use our dining credits but now I'm not sure.

Thanks all for posting the information!

According to this link I guess the price is justified in going up. I have to assume "Canadian" raised beef is far superior to "U.S." raised beef. Personally I raise the bull flag and say that Le'Cellier and WDW are using smoke and mirrors on this one to fool a whole lot of people into thinking they are getting something much better than before. JMHO.

For those of you who loved this place in the past and will go there regardless of the increase in price I guess it's a good thing for you. You will be able to enjoy your favorite place in spite of being much more expensive; but at least you probably won't have to frantically book your ADR 180 days out. I have a feeling dinner is going to be much easier to get an ADR.

So is it Canadian beef at night and US beef during the day? If it's Candadian beef all day long then the price increase at night isn't justified.

Besides...the Cheddar Cheese soup is the same soup night or day.

Wow. Today I had no trouble getting dinner reservations for March 6th, 7th, and 8th. I'll choose whatever time is more convenient for me - might even go more than once.

Personally, I don't understand all the commotion, since I can't think of a single Disney restaurant that isn't overpriced. Now Le Cellier is more overpriced than before, but they did improve the menu, at least to Hollywood Brown Derby standards (which is fairly criticized among the signatures, but I happen to like it). Looking forward to trying it.

It's nice that Epcot's received some cool new dining options over the past year (except Hacienda - hated it, I live in Philly and I've had fresher/better quality Mexican food for 25% of the price).

If your paying OOP, I guess $5 is not a big deal. However, if you are on the DDP then giving up 2ts instead of 1ts is a big deal, thus all the commotion. As for improving the menu, I guess that is a matter of opinion. With that said, I truly hope you enjoy your dining experience at Le'Cellier.

I agree with you about HBD. If LC serves HBD quality food, we'll be thrilled. We think HBD is the best bargain at WDW for those paying OOP. Personally, I think it gets the bad reviews, because people are too influenced by the supposed DDP value to rate the food fairly. If the prices were higher, I think DDP patrons would rate it higher (:ssst: WDW please don't raise the prices). In our opinion it's every bit as good as the other Signatures. Let's hope LC is equally good.

Has anybody seen the new menu dinner menu, yet?

Has anybody been to Le Cellier since the restaurant when signature dining?
