Le Cellier Menu changes?? Suggestions for a Alternate?

So, I have now seen several posts which say that the Le Cellier menu has gotten a complete overhaul. People say the mushroom filet & risotto are gone, and so is the bone in ribeye! Help! This is my husband's favorite place and he does love his steak, but if it's not the same, I know he will not care for it. Does anyone know for sure that these 2 things are gone from the menu and what about suggestions for an alternate. We are on the dining plan (free) and will not pay out of pocket (so Shula's is out). Can anyone detail the new menu for me? Entrees only. The menus posted on the disney site and allears still show the old items available, so I don't even know what they have been replaced with. Thank you everyone for taking a moment of your time to read my post and help us out!

My suggestion is to not eat at Le Cellier. My husband wanted a steak and got bone-in Ribeye in November and threw up for 24 hours after eating it!! We were scheduled to leave OKW next day but had to cancel and rebook airfare and hotel!

We are kind of in the same boat, we ate there in November and had a fabulous meal. I loved the filet and was expecting to do it again, if they did get rid of both the file mignon and my second choice the aged bone in rib eye then I am going to cancel:worried:

I am thinking about the Yachtsman Steakhouse. Le Cellier had become somewhat of a tradition for us when we visit WDW, but I am disappointed to read about the menu changes.

Husband had bone-in ribeye in May and he loved it. Mushroom filet was on menu. I was going to order it but was too full from bread, cheddar cheese soup, and other appetizers we tried.

I've heard it's still going to be on the menu (the filet with mushroom risotto) and the new dish from what I've heard is a bacon and spinach risotto sitting on a butter and parmesan sauce, which sounds pretty yummy to me.
Of course that's just what I read.

Where did you read this, I hope this is true. :thumbsup2

Disney Food Blog has posted a pic on their instagram of the new filet with spinach & bacon risotto on parmesan butter sauce garnished with tomatoes & greens, not sauteed mushrooms. The mushroom and pea risottos are both gone.

I don't think the pea risotto was ever intended to be permanent. I think that they've decided that as a signature they're going to shake up the menu every few months with seasonal ingredients, including the risotto and garnishes for the filet.

I do not eat mushrooms anywhere but Le Cellier. Strange, but that mushroom risotto was so delicious! The green risotto does not look appetizing to me, but more importantly, the truffle butter sauce is gone, which made the filet taste amazing. I also heard the bone-in ribeye is history, which is what my husband and son always got. They both like their steak with a bone in it. I believe we are going to try out the Yachtsman. Their menu looks like it has many more steak choices than Le Cellier, but I will miss that maple creme brulee... :)

I was debating my Le Celier reservation because it's now 2 credits. Also we will be there during F&W and probably won't be that hungry during dinner. This pretty much seals it for me.

Eeek! I loved the filet at Le Cellier & I don't do mushrooms anywhere else either.

Maybe I nix my ADR and just grab the mini filet they usually have at Food & wine festival.

Decisions decisions.

This menu change actually made me book up. Hope it's perment.

Mushroom risotto is back. I had it last Friday night (Sept 5th). Server said it had been reintroduced on Tues., Sept 2nd.

Just had Mushroom risotto today and they also have the ribeye as well on the menu. Yum

I hope they still have it when I am there in December. I love the mushroom risotto!! I have made it at home, but I was looking forward to having it on our trip. If they don't, I'll just have the Cheddar Cheese soup and have a much cheaper dinner.:lmao:
