Le Cellier - keep checking for a cancelation, hopeless?

So, I started making reservations 180 days out and picked everything my girlfriend and I had decided on. The menu she had found online when WDW's was down, was way off of what the real menu is, so at the time she wasn't interested.

About 2 weeks later she randomly checks the menu on wdw and she decides she wants to try Le Cellier. Everything is booked, lunch dinner, every day of the vacation.

Has anyone had any success finding a cancelation for a restaraunt that books as fast as Le Cellier, or am I wasting my time?

2 years ago a le cellier adr opened up for us just a few weeks b4 our trip! It's possible. I wouldn't count on it but let it be a nice extra thing if it happens.

People cancel all the time especially closer the trip, people finalize their trip so it could happen. In fact, last year, we kind of did last minute trip to WDW with FD. Still, we had were able to grab two Le Cellier ADRs for our week long trip. It happens so keep checking several times a day!:goodvibes

Not hopeless at all. At about 40 days out, I managed to get LeCellier for a party of 8 the exact date that I wanted for lunch. When are you going?

We started planning our trip about a month ago for a September trip, since then I've been scrambling to make an itinerary and ADRs. I was initially bummed about not being able to book either lunch or dinner on ANY DAY of our entire trip for Le Cellier...but I kept checking everyday, and luckily one lunch spot opened up on the exact day we'll be in Epcot. So, nope - I definitely don't think you're wasting your time. Keep trying - something may open up! :)

Try checking this thread too, to see if anyone is about to cancel an ADR that works for your schedule: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2690026

This is when final payment is due and this when trips get cancelled and restaurant reservations open up again a little bit.

Don't be fussy about time or whether it's lunch or dinner. Also, you may have to tweak your plans and go on a different day and change your schedule a little if you want to go bad enough.

Another vote for keep checking! I checked for weeks upon weeks upon weeks and finally a ressie I wanted opened up! Just make it a part of your daily routine (or 3-4 times hehe) and hopefully something pops up!

I've been checking lunch/dinner and the entire week! lol

Haha yeah I'm checking about 10 times a day, thanks to the iPhone lol

Is there only 2 of you going? Weird thing is I can get dinner reservations at different times for most of your week but I had punched in a party of 4 (we are a party of 4). Then I thought, well, maybe its only him and his girlfriend. I punched in party of 2 and it goes to no availability? Guess they won't seat a party of 2 at a table for 4?

Decided to add Le Cellier last week--120 days out and Thanksgiving week. Figured I would never be able to get this one.

Pixie dust must have been coming my way because I got the day I wanted (little earlier than I wanted, but not complaining). YEAH!!! :cheer2:

Sending you my pixie dust--keep checking.:wizard:

I was just able to get an ADR for dinner at 1900 Park Fare that was booked solid for the week I was there.. I checked multiple times a day and finally last night one came open! There is always hope!

Not hopeless at all- you just have to be persistent. I didn't book dining for our current trip until about day 150 (since I didn't know we were going). At that point we booked Le Cellier for dinner. It took about 4 weeks of "stalking" to find an ideal time, but here's where it gets really interesting...

After reading enough reviews stating that it's not on par with the other signatures (i.e. a waste of 2 credits) I canceled dinner. Then I decided to shift around our entire schedule. Somewhere between 70-90 days...DH suggested we might try it for lunch, even though we're already doing a TS breakfast and dinner that day. I was reluctant at first but after a couple of days of thinking I was like "why not?!?!?" :confused3 I mean, breakfast is at 7:05a, dinner isn't until 6:40pm, we have evening EMH in Epcot that night and the next day is a rest day. So, I checked the website- and naturally, there was nothing. I mean really- Le Cellier lunch at that point- who am I kidding. Well, after about 3 weeks of periodically checking...a 12:45pm at Le Cellier showed up and I snagged it. While I haven't been searching lunch since then, I see dinner slots pop up at least once a week.

So, I wouldn't count it out...just keep checking!

Yeah I'm looking for lunch also to keep it at 1 credit. The filet and risotto are still on the menu at lunch, so I'm game!

Yeah thanks a lot for this post. I found they have lunch for 4 ALL WEEK. I just booked a for 4 anyway. Last time I was in there I noticed a lot of tables had 2 people at 4 seat tables, so why not? I'm not really messing anyone up I guess?

I have been looking for a Le Cellier ADR for months now as I didn't originally go for it at my 180+10 window. I finally managed to get it yesterday with 40 days to go! :cool1:
Keep looking, people will cancel closer to their vacation.

:goodvibes

I just picked up Le Cellier on Sept 10 at 4:50 PM. It is a little early for dinner but we are having breakfast at Cape May that day. Breakfast and a snack should hold us with no lunch.

I tried every day for the past 2 weeks, lunch and dinner for the week we will be there. That was way too much clicking so I hope it is worth it.

I would suggest that you keep trying

Ilene

Have you still been checking?

I have too much time on my hands at work:rotfl2: I should start a side business looking for ADR's. If you increase your party to 3, there are ADR's available. I don't know if you are picky about WHEN you eat, but there are times available. I think it's stupid that they wont seat 2 people at a 4 seater BUT just throw in another person and look at the spots that open up. I have found an early dinner for every day you are there, using 3 people.

Hope you get the reservation!!!

I booked it anyway as four people. It's rediculous that they can turn away someone looking almost months out, because they want to hold off on tables they can cram together. What's the worst that can happen? I highly doubt I won't be seated because of a 'mix up'. :woohoo:
