Le Cellier - IMPOSSIBLE to book?

I understand that it would be difficult to book Le Cellier a week or two...or even a month in advance. I would have thought that when they started letting people book 180 days in advance it would have gotten even easier.

As it stands now you CAN NOT book a reservation at Le Cellier even 6 months out. I just looked for a table for 4 every Thursday night from tonight to July and there is not one opening...for the entire 6 months!

Fortunately we made reservations many months ago for this evening and we just returned from a great meal. But it's frustrating that we are not unable to eat there again it seems.

I understand that I can keep checking and checking but it just seems unreasonable that you can't book anything down the road at all. I assume hotel guests who can book further than 6 months must take them all.

Guess we'll just have to eat at one of our other favorite restaurants...fortunately there are quite a few.

we had trouble november 09 for our trip to get in. I think the only time was 9pm on a thursday, so we didnt go.

Try calling for reservations after March 1. Since it is changing to 2 credits for dinner on March 1, I think they are doing the reservations by phone.

...my friends tomorrow night and we are looking for a good moroccan or asian restaurant with floor seating...

They only have a very few table for two. If you had asked for a table for three or four you may have gotten one.

I was going to say the same thing - now that dinner will be 2 credits on the DDP (at least as of March) I bet you'll see availabilty really increase.

I appreciate not starting up multiple threads on the same topic, but I did separate them because people were responding to the Original Poster like it was a new problem they were having.

One LeCellier thread every three years isn't a bad thing :goodvibes

Three a week...that gets a little tiresome :rotfl:

Good point...I should have thought of that. Thanks for separating and not just deleting.

I will second the tip from the earlier poster. When we were trying for a table for our last trip, we were on the computer at 6am at 90+10 (that was earliest booking at the time). We could not get a table for 2, but we could get a table for 3. Apparently, they have a limited number of 2-top tables and don't want to give away the 4-tops to just 2 diners.

We've had no problems getting reservations for lunch this time around, and we are 4 months out. Have you kept playing with the times on-line?

Last year when we were planning we booked 190 days out. We figured out we needed to change our dates about 20 days after that, and they were booked solid.

Don't give up hope... we just booked a trip a week before Christmas for Jan. 28th. I tried for a week straight to get any dinner ressie at LeC and got no results... then one time I got a 6:10 pm for 4 people... now there are even some late lunches available...

Watch the cancelled forum here also for postings.. there was a few for LeC for the upcoming weeks...

PP is right. For ressies after Mar. 1, you have to call in. If you try to book it online, it will appear as though there are no ressies. I was able to easily get 2 different dinner ressies for a May visit. :thumbsup2

But, as mentioned, if you are trying to get into a dinner ressie b/c you enjoyed it so much previously, remember that by July they will have changed the dinner menu to a new signature menu (hasn't been released yet).

From the WDW site: "Effective March 1, 2011, dinner at Le Cellier Steakhouse will be elevated to a Signature dining experience, offering an exciting new menu that will change seasonally and an expanded wine list."

Lunch is reported as still being a 1 credit meal, but no word if it will still offer the same food as it currently does.

I was debating on trying this. I found an availability for my May trip, but is it worth it? I was going to cancel my Tokyo Dining ressie for Le Cellier, but not if it's sub par/par.

I work nites and i often check the wdw website in early morning hours. That's how i got my reservation. Maybe thats when the website updates any available dates/time. :surfweb:

We're heading to WDW tomorrow and I was able to get a 4:15p reservation at Le Cellier for tomorrow. It's a bit early but it gives us time to get to HS for Fantasmic. I'd been trying and trying and just woke up early today, checked the site and there it was! Don't give up. I also noticed that there was a 6:30p Ohana ressie for Monday night. I already have one and was just looking for a little earlier one. People do cancel. Good luck!

I know it's not quite the same, but we were able to book for 4 the weekend before Easter for lunch. After all the rave reviews, we decided to try. Good luck getting the reservation you desire!

I don't know if it has been said or not, but I booked at the 180 day mark. I wasn't able to get a reservation online for dinner or even lunch for that matter. I called at 9am since it seemed everything online was gone. I got right through and they gave me a reservation for the exact time I was looking for. I'm guessing they only allow so many reservations to be booked online. I would try calling to see what can be found for you.

I just called the other day to check on my reservation and found out it wasn't in the system:scared1:
I was so upset that I started to cry bc I had made the reservation at 9AM on the 180 day mark for our anniversary. Since I have had trips where I could not get a table at all I was convinced that with less than 2 months the was no way this could be fixed.
There were 2 time slots available, both at prime dinner times.

The CM said that reservations after March 1st are popping up all the time bc of the switch to Signature Dining.

Don't give-up, and definitely call instead of just checking on line.

We usually go in late August and have been able to get dinner reservations but, with the switch to 2 credits and an early July trip this year, we opted for lunch instead. Late lunch - 2:45, so we expect to snack around the World for dinner that night - and that is not a bad thing!!
