Le Cellier impossible for party of five?

Morning, all... For weeks I've been trying several times a day online to get Le Cellier for either our September or December trip, with no luck. Even though I know how hard it is to get, I figured my odds were pretty good since I have four different dates we could dine there, we're willing to eat at any time, plus I've been trying so often. But no luck so far. I know parties of five are hard to seat at WDW, but am I just out of luck entirely? Is Le Cellier's reservation system set up against odd numbered parties because of its popularity? Thanks in advance.

Try for 6. There's a known issue with the reservation system where at several locations, odd number parties do not see everything available. This issue is deeper than the online system, as it affects both online and phone reservations and has existed since before the online system was released. It's not "set up against" odd numbers, it's just a bug.

Though, as you mentioned, Le Cellier is pretty tough to get into. September is close, and as such has been open for awhile, reducing the chances of an open slot here. December has many tables held back for CP packages as well, which again is reducing the availability.

Assuming I get a ressie for six, am I going to have trouble with that when we're seated, only having five people?

For September, I'm hoping for cancellations by people who can't pay their balance within 45 days of their trip. I forgot about the ressies held back for CP in December-- good point.

Thanks for your advice.:thumbsup2

We have a reservation for 9, so I totally understand your pain...it was so difficult to get, and we had to book at 180 days out!

Our friends have 3 for their trip in September, and we were FINALLY able to get some of her reservations that were booked up--we ended up putting in for 4 instead of 3 and things came up! No you will not get in trouble for doing that, the CMs actually told people to do that :) So we actually have 2 reservations booked under 4 people for them, and all you have to do when you get there is say that one of you couldn't make it. It happens all the time, they are used to it :)

Thank you!

Your welcome!! I do want to add though, that is goes for those reservations that you don't have to pay for upfront. The ones you DO have to pay for upfront with a credit card (like Cinderella's Royal Table) you can put that you have the 5 and add an infant to it so you don't get charged the extra person. We had to do that for her CRT reservation, she is 2 adults, 1 child, so we put 2 adults, 2 children and put the 2nd child as an infant so she doesn't get charged for it and there's no penalty for the 2nd child not showing up. :)

Good luck!
