Hey all ! Figured I would start off with a good one!

OK Firstly DH fussiest eater alive must all be meat and potatoes or he makes Grumpy look like Tinkerbell!!!!!

This was DHs favorite, and if DH is happy then we are all happy right?? :thumbsup2

OK starters let me say DH and DS inhaled the pretzel sticks and would have been delighted with them! I can't tell you how it was since I never got a chance to taste them, so I can safely say it was great!

They brought out a lovely dessert as my DS had left his Birthday pin on and the server didn't know it was on from the day before! When I expalined she said everyday can be his birthday at Disney! Our server was wonderful as well! ok on to the meal in order:

ME: Appetizers - Asian Shrimp cocktail - best shrimp cocktail in all of disney for me, great sauce !

DH : Beff Kabobs - DH was living on the wild side, a kabob, as he never ate one before, he really ejoyed that the seasoning was not over powering at all!

ME: Shrimp - was lovely !

DH - 7oz Filet Mignon- tihs was hubby's favorite dinner! Loved this and was so satisified!

IMPORTANT ITEM: DESSERT; YIIPPPEEE

ME: Sorbet, perfect!

DH: The Whiskey cake, too die for he said and figured since it was gone beofre I could finsih my sip of tea!

By the way , DH never big on cake and does not like heavy desserts but was so impressed he asked me to get a wheel barrel to toss him in!

DS: Childrens menu loved it all! Chicken fingers!

He also got the Northern lights with the glowing cube!!!! You know that was the best part of his dinner!

From this family: Big :woohoo: :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Hope this helped someone and would tell anyone this is a must do!

Thanks for the review! We're going in September and can't wait- we'll have to try the whiskey cake!!

What is it about DHs? My dad sounds just like your DH when it comes to food :rotfl:

thanks for the review.
This Sept will be my first time at Le Cellier, decided on going based on reviews like yours.

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

We ate there back in Sept. '05 and said it was favorite restaurant in Disney World. We had eaten at Chefs de France earlier that day for lunch and it did not compare to Le Cellier. I wish we were going back to Le Cellier this Sept., but instead we are eating at all of the sit-down restaurants first before we try them twice. We ate the chefs sampler last year which had bits of three desserts on it. The whiskey cake was on there and entirely to 'whiskey' for me so I let my husband gobble that up. The sorbet was delicious, but the maple creme brulee with cinnamon whip on top was the best. I'm glad to hear you had a wonderful dinner and hope you get to go back.

My wife insists that you are writing about me.

On a serious note we are so impressed with this review that it looks as though we will eat there for my 40th in September!!

Thanks

Well, I hope we see you there in September, I forgot to buy myself a souvineir and a grumpy shirt for hubby! I think I may even hold a garage sale this weekend, hope I get a good $ on his golf clubs, better make sure he isn't home that day opppsssyyyyy!!!

He really enjoyed himself that he would consider a return trip while the DDP is free! He really loved that Le Cellier and decided he really likes his bodering allies!!!

Can't go wrong, they do make great hockey players up north!

Thanks for all your feedback and no need to worry about having an iffy meal all good up north!

Men and their meat, huh? must be something from the caveman days still in their brains.

Great review, we like this restaurant too, it's also great just for soup and pretzel sticks at lunch.

Enjoyed reading your review ~ Thanx for sharing.

Fidge,

I cannot tell you how wonderful to hear that you explained to the waitstaff that the birthday pin was just left on from the day before. I HATE when people think it's okay to wear that pin all week long. To me, it just smacks of "Let's see what we can get for free." Okay, I'll get off my soapbox now. :rolleyes1

Love your Grumpy reviews. We've got one of those here too!

Thanks for posting! :goodvibes

What is the northern lights? Is that an "adult" drink? The girls would love to have the light-up ice cube!!

This is our family's favorite. On our upcoming trip in August we are going to have dinner there our first night and our last! (Thank you free dining!!!!)

We went to Le Cellier for the first time this past Jan. to see what all the hoopla was all about and we fell in love with the place and the food. Yummy Cheddar soup.....this time will make sure I try the crème brulée when we return in October.

Thanks for the reviews. So glad I have an ADR for this one.

WEll, Pooh it is a childrens dessert menu item. It is a ice cream float with a glowing keepsake ice cube he is still playing with the cube. It is a hard plastic cube that has a light insisde it that you can turn on and off by tapping the cube on a hard surface!!!

Great fun for young and old!!!! :thumbsup2
