My husband and I chose to dine at Le Cellier thru the CP Dinner Package offer. Having done my research months ago, I was able to make our reservation for Christmas Eve night! Our dinner was at 4:40pm, and the show time was 8:15pm.

We arrived at Le Cellier 20 minutes early, and only had to wait 10 minutes to be seated. Not bad at all! I figured with it being Christmas Eve and all, that we'd be waiting past our PS time, but we were actually seated 5-10 minutes prior to our PS time!

This was our first time dining at Le Cellier, and let me say, we were amazed at the beauty of the restaurant! The Christmas decor was breath taking, giving the restaurant a homey kind of feel. Great atmosphere for Christmas Eve!

Our waitress was very helpful, as this was our first experience with the CP dinner package. She explained what meal items were included, as well as giving us detailed descriptions of a few of the dishes since we'd never been here.

To start, I chose the Cheddar Cheese Soup. Yummmy!! (Thanks to those on this board for raving about this soup so much.) This is the BEST soup I've ever tasted! My husband had the caesar salad, which he enjoyed very much. Next our main dishes came out with our wine pairings. (Each dish is paired with a wine to compliment, and is listed on the menu. This was great for us as we don't know much about wine and how to pair with food.)
I ordered the New York Strip Steak, and my husband ordered the filet mignon. Both our dishes were excellent! We both were pleased with the wine paired with our dishes. Mine was a very dry Chardigna (Misspelled). Can't remember what wine my husband had, although his wine wasn't as dry as mine.

For desert, I had Cheese Cake covered in cranberry sauce. This is the second best Cheese cake in the world! My mouth was watering as I was eating it!! My husband had maple cream brulee. He thought it was very good, I had a small bite of the brulee, and I didn't like it that much.

Even though the CP dinner package includes 15% gratuity, we did tip extra. And just a note, the wine did cost extra because only non-alcoholic drinks are included in the package.

Le Cellier is a must do every trip now! Thanks to all for recomending this restaurant. Dining here really made our honeymoon special!

Thanks for the review. My family was thinking of including this restaurant on our next visit. Your review makes me think we should definitely visit.

One question, was the steak reasonably tender? We had beef at O'Hana's, Chef Mickey's and Bomas on our last visit. Although all were flavorful, only the steak at O'Hana's was tender. We were pleasantly surprised there because we'd heard otherwise.

HolidayRose,

Yes, the steak at Le Cellier was very tender! You won't be dissapointed!

Le Cellier has been a dinner stop on our trips for many years. If you have small children, the kids menu steak selection is outstanding!
And now that our DS is 16 and DD 14, it continues to satisfy. The pretzel bread is out of this world!

Kudos for keeping this a consistently excellent destination for many years. We can't wait to go again this summer!!

We were there too! You didnt happen to have on a blueish grey shirt, and 2 kids with you, did you? A family walked in while we were eating and I thought I saw a lime green Mickey head on the woman as she walked by but I wasnt sure as she went by quick after I noticed.
We enjoyed our dinner there too. Loved the soup and bread, Ceasar salad was ok...not much dressing. We had the fliet and the mushroom filet, which were both very good. Dessert were just ok to us, but we dont usually get dessert after dinner. I think it ended up being too much food, but worth it to not have to wait in line for the show.

We have done CP Dinner package several time's at Le Cellier and were always pleased. This year we did Teppanyaki for CP Dinner Package and it was great.Next year though we are going back to LeCellier for CP Dinner Package.Glad you had a great experience thanks for the review.::yes:: :wave2: :wizard: :boat:

I'm guessing you preferred LeCellier over Teppanyaki? We've only eaten at LC during lunch, and it was ok. I was thinking T may be a nice change from routine... (I'm trying to plan for our Dec. '04 trip! ;) )

Sounds like you had a wonderful time! We haven't been there during Christmas but we love dinner at Le Cellier. The soup, those breadsticks (especially the pretzel ones!), and the beef has always been extremely good. You can practically cut the filet with your fork. We've always had good service there too. It's on our must do list. Thanks for the CP review!

Thanks for the review :D I've read so many good things about the cheese soup that I'm dragging hubby to eat there just so I can sample it, it sounds divine! I love a good steak too so will definitely be having one of those.
