Le Cellier ADR time

Hi again all!

I have a 5:40 ADR at Le Cellier -- I moved it up so that I could hop over to MK in time for HEA. (Maybe even OUAT if I'm lucky).

I keep hearing that folks are not seated at their ADR time - often waiting 20-30 minutes. How common is this? If I arrive 10 minutes before my ADR, is it likely that I'll still be asked to wait 20 minutes past my reservation time?

I'm not looking to debate the merits of the food - I'd like to try the restaurant for myself - but I would like to budget enough time for the meal.

I wouldn't say there's a set time to wait at any WDW property restaurant. As far as I know there aren't any restaurants that are always 20-30 minute waits but always give yourself enough time between activities "just in case". Planning things too close together is the main thing I try to not do at WDW as everything is so varied in time from FP lines, restaurant wait times, speed of service once seated, transportation waits, random technical issues (monorail down and whatnot), etc. etc.

You're probably seeing those complaints because people with unusually long wait times are more likely to go online and complain where the other hundreds of people who were seated on time that day don't typically go online to post their review about how they were seated in 5 minutes.

Just my thoughts on the matter but the most important thing is to not put things so close together where 15 minutes will make or break your plans. Bad idea at Disney IMO.

Don't worry, if they seat you late they will make sure to rush you through the meal so fast you will still be done in time. Your appetizer and entree will be delivered within 2 minutes of each other and you won't be offered beverage refills or desert before the waiter throws the check at your table. All that's missing is a cattle prod to make you eat faster in their attempt to "turn that table"

(And yes I waited after my ADR time for this "signature" service experience!)

What size party?

Honestly I've never waited at Le Cellier...and I've also never felt rushed (crammed in like sardines, yes...but never rushed). I usually have the other experience, where my server seems to have fallen into the looking glass...

I’ll be a solo traveler this time.

I plan on taking my time, but I’d like to hop to MK and catch HEA and OUAT if possible. So I’m not looking to be ordering three leisurely courses.

Mine was a combination. The server after throwing the food on the table was not seen again until he showed up with the check saying "you don't want desert do you?" He then stood there waiting on me to pay!

Good Luck, I hope you don't get my server he apparently thinks solo diners should eat and move along LOL!

The nice thing was a I saved some money on the tip. I did tip, but it was not generous!

Yes. I think you will wait past your ADR time, we always have. Arriving early doesn’t help

Fair enough. I think, just to keep things simple, I will revert to my original plan and keep my later Le Cellier ADR at 7:15. I'll then hopefully make it to MK not too far into EMH. All I want are a few character meets. That way I won't have to worry about how quickly I'm seated, how quickly/slowly I'm served, and making it to the fireworks.

I'll save HEA and OUAT to my other MK day, after dinner at The Wave. I was trying to see every nighttime spectacular, but I'll likely miss out on Fantasmic this time. I've seen it a lot, so I'll probably be fine.

We are a party of between 6 and 8 usually and the 3 times we have eaten at Le Cellier we were seated as much as 45 minutes late once from my notes, 15 minutes late and 10 minutes early. You just never know. For reference all 3 meals were in June of different years.

We've always waited at LC, usually 15-30 minutes. It doesn't help to check in super early because they'll tell you to come back closer to your ADR time.
