I hope I'm doing this correctly.

Anyway, I got a few minutes and found a sketch I liked.

I want this to be a 2 part challenge the first part is a MUST but the second part you have 1 of 2 choices.
Part One: You must use the sketch

Part Two: Do 1 or both options from the list below
A) Use Blue/Purple paper on your layout
OR
B) use Chipboard somewhere on your layout.

I choose 2 colors because I know how hard it is to scrap a certain color for a boy or a girl so I picked 1 for each LOL.

If you can't see the sizes of the photos here they are:
starting from the left:
circle 5.5" diameter, large horizontal 6"x 4.25", next horizontal 5.5" x 4.25" and the last horizontal is 4" x 4.25"

Can't wait to see what you come up with!!!!
Enjoy

I need some fresh ideas. The sketch looks very different from anything I've done lately. I'll have to try this one.

Glad you guys are willing to try this sketch. I was a little nervous picking 1 out but after I saw it, I was like "THAT'S" the one so I had to choose that one.

You DON'T have to do a circle photo you can use a 4x6, a 5x7, a 5x5 whatever catches your fancy. ME? I'm gonna try to do the sketch with a circle, use blue and purple and chipboard so I'm trying it all. I have a boy and don't usually use purple so this will be a chore (so glad I didn't pick pink :rotfl:

I did this one, but I didn't have pictures going the right way so I modified. i also added die cuts to the bottom of the layout. I have to take a picture and post

OK here you go

My son was in "The Innkeepers Son" play at school. The paper I used was purple, blue & white. I used purple bazzill paper for "The Innkeepers" and I used Chipboard for "Son". I also used purple ribbon and some blue jeweled snowflake brads.
I didn't have a very large photo to make the circle 5" so I just used a smaller one.

Adorable LO!!!

I'll probably work on it this weekend..as I have someone installing the flooring and I have to keep busy or I stress...plus I'll need to keep DH on track.. he needs to paint the entry & hallway this weekend!!!

I finally completed a layout challenge!!!!! I always have good intentions on doing them, but just never seem to get to it. But, I did this one!!!!

My pictures are birds from our trip to Montana 2 summers ago. I'm trying to get that book finished before we go back again this summer. I don't think I'm gonna make it!

Anyway, for the criteria: I used the layout, I used blue background paper, and my title (Birds) is chipboard with my patterned paper covering it.

I love the sketch you picked! I'm not sure what subject I'm going to do yet, but I'm definitely in.

Just dumb luck that I met the criteria, because I sketched the sketch (not quite correctly, it turns out) and took it down stairs last week. Of course in the mean time, I forgot it was supposed to have purple and chipboard - BUT as it turned out, I had the whole basic grey Euphoria collection that i'd been hoarding so I had purple and chipboard (CKC) and rubons (that I never use).

OK I apologize for the picture quality...it was taken with my cell phone, but here is my submission!

The first time I've tried to follow a sketch -- which made this come together pretty quickly; fortunately I was just ready to work on our stop at Queen Elizabeth Botanic Park, known for its large endangered blue iguanas (DGS loves them). He and Figment enjoyed posing by the statue at the front of the park (we like to take Figment places other than Epcot). A purple and blue color scheme was perfect for this spread, and I might not have thought of that without this inspiration. I've also never posted to a layout challenge either. The title is chipboard.

Of course, I just got a new Gypsy, and that blank space at the bottom is just crying out for some cricut cut-outs!

Thanks for the inspiration!

p.s.: Simba22 -- nice signature photo block (my user name is a combo of my initials, and the initials for Live Long and Prosper -- an ST-TOS fan since the beginning, but by the time I was first online all the obvious Trek related user names were taken).

beautiful LOs!

And thank you, mecllap! I'm more of a Zachary Quinto fan, than a Star Trek fan, but I did LOVE the movie (the next one is coming out in 2012!). My mom and my brother are big trekkies! lol My brother was born while my mom was watching an episode of Star Trek as a matter of fact!
