I'm flying into SNA (Orange County) but my points don't give me the option of a direct flight back to PHX. So my options are either LAX or ONT. I've flown in/out of LAX before and it's just okay but very big and busy. I know ONT is a much smaller airport but is it easy to get to if I use Lyft or Super Shuttle? I'm very unfamiliar with that airport.

No, I think LAX is actually easier to get to than ONT from Anaheim.

They are both about the distance from Disneyland.(~36 miles). LAX is a madhouse; in comparison, ONT is a ghost town. You may have a better selection of flights from LAX.

I would definitely choose ONT if those were my options. So hassle free and as B4DlandOpened stated, they're about the exact same distance away. ONT has been steadily increasing the number of flights over the past 2 years, so you may have a better selection now.
