Not sure where to post this question--

We hope to travel to Hawaii in 2012, but not sure we would be able to stand being on a plane from the East Coast to Hawaii all in one day, even with the 1 or 2 stops we would have. Will have a 2 year old traveling with us.

As we will not be able to spend time in CA going or coming ( due to work schedules ), thought we might fly from NC to LAX day 1 and try for early flights to Hawaii on day 2.

Is there a hotel "in" the airport at LAX like the Hyatt at Orlando?

TIA

There are some really close to LAX but the airport itself is built in small sections. Though these close places are near the end of the runways I'm not sure how quiet they are with a large airport that has flights all the time but they are about as close as you can get.

If by chance you travel through DFW I think that is one of the western airports that has a hotel inside.

I recommend the Radisson at LAX. It's super close :) Plus...3 words. SLEEP - NUMBER - BEDS.

We've done the same thing a year ago. I know what you mean about the long flight from NC. We stayed at a hotel near LAX coming and going (there's none inside LAX). It made the trip much easier in my opinion. We stayed at the Ramada and the Renaissance. Both hotels were super close, and have the free 24 hr. shuttles right outside the baggage claim door. Just make sure you make your reservations far in advance, as they tend to sell out quickly/frequently. If you have any more questions, feel free to contact me!
