LAX Car rental in August

Hi All - In your opinion, what is the best timing for booking a car rental for LAX for August? I am a Costco member, so probably would use their codes, if applicable. It seems that a lot of the codes are currently only good through June, so maybe new ones will come out later in the year. Any car rental experts able to help me out? Thanks!

There is no penalty for canceling a rental car reservation, so look for a good price and book now. Then keep checking and if a better deal comes along, cancel and rebook.
