Well, it seems I caught ALL of you out on this question! Another fact that I learnt on the Keys to the Kingdom tour (which I highly recommend, FYI), the answer is:

The largest land based Hidden Mickey in the Magic Kingdom can be found on the ground in Adventureland, under the archway outside the POTC shop. It is special because it appears as a Hidden Mickey from whatever angle you look at it.
