Day Four - 3 September 2010
We were all up at 6.30 am. I'm not going to go on about the pain, it carried on for several days, sometimes worse than others, but I managed mostly by not carrying Eric around like I normally do, painkillers and naps. I was determined that it wasn't going to ruin our holiday.
For breakfast I had Lucky Charms and a vanilla latte, Andy had toast and coffee and Eric had toast and juice. We watched the Disney channel and Eric's Thomas DVD (which caused us no end of amusement at the engines having different voices) and then set off for Hollywood Studios at 8.40 am.
We arrived at the park just on 9 am. We got fastpasses for Toy Story Mania and then went on the Great Movie Ride. After the ride we looked in one of the shops and bought Eric a Big Thunder Mountain train with Mickey as the driver. I think he would have been happy just to play with that for the rest of the day but instead we took him to the Honey I Shrunk play area for a bit and then to watch MuppetVision 3D.
Then it was time for our ride on TSM. Eric sat on my knee and I intended to let him fire the gun but he was more interested in watching and shouting out the names of the characters so I forced myself to participate (hmm, not much arm twisting, really). I was pleased with my score of 87,100 and 47% accuracy, I'm sure my accuracy was up on last time. Andy scored 76,100 with 36% accuracy.
We went for lunch in Pizza Planet which was very nice except that it was far too cold in there. The air conditioning blowing on my back was not nice. Me and Andy shared a pepperoni pizza, garden salad with ranch dressing and an orange soda, and Eric had a cheese pizza, chocolate chip cookie and apple juice. Me and Andy ate the apple sauce that also came with E's meal.
After lunch we took Eric to the Playhouse Disney area so he could give Annie and Leo a cuddle.
We then watched the 1 pm showing of the Little Mermaid as Eric had enjoyed it so much last time. Eric was getting tired by this point so we left the park and Eric fell asleep in the car. Me and Andy made coffees and drank them in the car so that we didn't have to move Eric until he was ready to wake up.
When E woke up, him and Andy got changed and had a swim both in the baby pool and in the big pool. Eric wasn't keen to go in at first but Andy went and got his Stanley engine bath toy that squirts water and he was quite happy running Stanley round the edges of the pool. I didn't think swimming would do me much good so I had a mocha frappe and read my Sherlock Holmes book, more my style anyway.
We had our baths after swimming and then headed out to Epcot just before 6 pm. We went straight round to the Lotus Blossom Cafe for tea. I had orange chicken, Andy had a beef noodle bowl and E had sweet and sour chicken. As we came out it was nearly time for the dragon acrobats to come on so we sat and watched them too.
We then went to the Character Connection and queued for half an hour to meet Mickey, Pluto, Minnie, Donald and Goofy. Eric did very well waiting and was excited to see the characters, though you'd never know because he didn't smile much when the camera was on him!
We rounded out the day by watching Illuminations: Reflections of Earth. I had to run into MouseGear a couple of times with Eric because he got fed up after a while but I didn't mind so much as I much prefer Wishes (I know, please don't smite me for not being so crazy about Illuminations).
We left the park and arrived back at the villa at 10 pm by which point Eric was already asleep. I had a cherry jelly belly soda after we put E to bed and some Reeses peanut butter cups and Andy had Bud Lite. We read some Sherlock Holmes and watched a trashy news channel before going to bed at 11.45 pm.
