4 September 2010 - Day Five

Up at 7 am this morning after a good night's sleep as Eric stayed in his own bed all night. I had lucky charms for breakfast, Andy had toast and Eric had both!

We set off to Animal Kingdom just before 9 am as I had wanted to ring my mum before we left.

First order of business was the Festival of the Lion King show as we all enjoy this one. After the show we stopped to meet some characters had had our photos taken with Goofy, Donald and the rabbits!

We took the little train to Harambe and had a look round there. Eric coloured in a picture of a vulture.

We got the train back and headed to Yak and Yeti counter service for lunch. Between us we had orange beef with rice and chicken fried rice, sprite and Hi C.

Eric spent a while playing in the boneyard after lunch before visiting with Goofy and Pluto.

The boys rode Triceratop Spin and I bought my sister a baby Simba in a blanket for Christmas.

We put Eric in his stroller and he fell asleep on the way out of the park. We transferred him into the car and drove to McDs for coffees for me and Andy. We moved on to the Premium Outlets after that and spent a very long time trying to get a parking space - Labor Day holiday crowds.

After much swearing and gnashing of teeth we eventually got parked up and headed into the outlets for some retail therapy. A pretty successful trip as we all came away with something - Britney Spears Circus Fantasy perfume for me, a DKNY jumper for Andy and a James engine for Eric (complete with American accent!) We also bought Eric's best friend Alex a colouring book in the Disney Store. I was disappointed to discover that both Fuzziwigs and Le Gourmet Chef have disappeared from this mall since our last visit.

All shopped out we left at 6.10 pm and stopped at McDs for some tea. I had a mushroom and swiss angus burger, Andy had a bacon and cheese angus and Eric had his usual chicken nugget happy meal. We drank strawberry fanta and fresh orange juice.

Final stop of the day was Publix to stock up on coffee, gum, juice, water and marshmallow fluff (yum). We also bought Eric a pair of Mickey Mouse shorts as most of the ones we had brought with us were a bit big on him still.

We got back to the villa at 7.45 pm, had baths and then went down to the family pool where they were showing Ratatouille and making smores. We bought a smores kit which consisted of lots of marshmallows and graham crackers, Hershey bars and two very big sticks. Eric had far too much fun running around with the sticks! We had a great time getting very sticky making smores, roasting marshmallows in the fire pits and watching a quality film. We didn't make it to the end of the film as I was struggling to stay awake and went back to the villa at 9.45 pm.

We put Eric to bed and then we relaxed with a beer for Andy and a lemon jelly belly soda for me before going to bed at midnight.
