Laura's Shuttle VERY BAD SERVICE

I certainly don't understand why a thread that is over 4 years old has been renewed. Hopefully it is as it appears to be, but I will be watching for any funny business.
On another note, the vast majority of towncar services do not book by the person. They book a car, for up to 5 guests. That car runs about $110 or so, r/t, plus tip. I just don't understand any company charging by the person.

Someone with the same name as the OP has posted this story in a few places (including two places on the DIS). I suspect that they Googled "Laura's Shuttle" and posted where they found hits.

I suspect you're correct.

:confused3, people actually do that? SMH:sad2:

Awfully long post, posted on two different subforums for a first time "poster". Definately highly suspicious.

So Many Hobbitts? :rotfl: (I have no idea what SMH means)

I have seen people do things like that before. I don't get it myself, but it does appear to do something that people do.

Not really. A person had bad experience. They want to warn others. They use google and locate places to share their experience.

The forum software used by some boards now does a search before you're allowed to start a new thread. It suggests old threads on the same topic. I'm not sure if DIS is using that kind of software. It does result in some old threads getting resurrected.

Or they are a disgruntled employee or competitor willing to bash a company. This tactic occurs a lot on public forums (as much as SPAM sales ads) because there is somewhat of a hidden identity to posters.

Oh come on, you know DIS doesn't use the software you're referring to.

I realize people google something and then go off to report bad business practices, bad service, etc, everywhere they can find. And that's not alltogether a bad thing.
BUT..we do need to keep in mind that when someone registers, come here and posts two posts, saying the same thing, you have to wonder if there are ulterior motives. There are some who may have an ax to grind, so come to internet boards and spread rumors or out and out lies. I am NOT saying this is the case, but it does happen.
We need to keep in mind that the vast majority of people post negative experiences vs positive ones. That's just human nature.

Maybe but I don't think Laura's Shuttle is the kind of company a competitor needs to bash. I guess it could be an former employee.

DIS uses vBulletin. I don't know if the version DIS is currently using has this feature available. One (non-Disney) forum updated vBulletin and activated the feature.. A lot of old threads suddenly got, unintentionally, bumped.

I haven't started a thread recently. I don't know if that feature is running. I'll accept your comment as fact and that's not what happened here.
