Since becoming members we have only stayed in 2 bedroom villas. Thinking of the future if we were to stay in a studio where do we do laundry? And do we pay or is it included?

There is a laundry facility at each resort. The last time I checked it cost $2 to wash and $2 to dry but that was a few years ago. Prices may have changed. Also, you'll need to bring your own detergent or buy some from the vending machine as they don't supply it for the studios. You might could bum some off a passing housekeeper but I'm not sure how strict they are with it.

Thanks! Good to know. We love staying in the 2 bedroom villas, but may change as the family dynamics change.....It's good to know that we can still do laundry if we stay in a studio, but of course, it won't be as convenient.

There is at least one laundry room in each DVC resort. It is free for DVC members, .

The machines may have coin slots but you don't need to deposit coins for them to work, just slide the empty coin slide.

Do they have laundry soap in the 2 bedrooms or should I bring my own?

There is one single use box there when we arrive. Then they give another on the trash and towel day. If you need more than that bring them. I have those purell sheets that are laundry/dryer sheets in one. They work great and so far we never come home with dirty clothes!

That is nice to know! Thanks, so not as convenient as in the room, but at least we don't have to pay extra!:goodvibes

You won't get any free laundry detergent in the studio. So bring some from home or plan to buy some there.

Really? Only did laundry at VGC and you had to get tokens from the front desk to use in the machines. Tokens were free to DVC member but still needed to get them. Figured it was the same at all the resorts. Good to know.

I think VGC is the one exception to the rule.

At SSR laundry is near the quiet pool. It was nice doing laundry while hanging out at the pools.

Aulani also requires tokens to do laundry in the laundry room as well. You just ask for tokens at the front desk.

DVC members staying on points at DVC resorts don't pay for laundry, you do need your own soap however.
