We have guests staying at our house in a guest suite (We do not know them personally, it is a favor) and discovered that one of them has folded our laundry, which was apparently left in the washer or dryer by my DH.
Anyway, it bothers me that this was done. Yes, it was panties.
How would you feel about having your laundry folded by a stranger?
I would have kindly asked the person that left it there if they could please remove it so that I could toss a load in. I would not have taken it out of the machine at all.
:o

I don't let things like that bother me. As my Dad would say, "Don't sweat the small stuff."

no big deal. i would be thanking them for folding the laundry so i didn't have to do it! :p

in college we would have laundry dumped on the floor if you didn't take it out in time. folding it is nicer, i think. :p

ditto on don't sweat the small stuff. They probably thought that they were doing you a favor.

Thank you guys......I am starting to feel less annoyed.
This laundry thing bothered me more than finding another car in our driveway...they have a guest staying with THEM in our house!
Anyway, it still bothers me that I have had my privacy invaded, which is what I feel, but oh well, what can I do about it now.
I have to remember that my ideas of what is "crossing the line" are not the same as everyone elses.
I must add that if they were guests that I KNEW, I would feel differently.

I would have thought, "darn why didn't they put it away too?"

Ditto!

Sounds like you aren't happy with the situation at all!! I wouldn't like the fact that my privacy was invaded....

BUT, I agree, they didn't do anything wrong, and in fact, were trying to do you a favor and help out.

Their motivation was not to annoy you or put you out, but to help you!

I would be thanking them for their thoughtfulness.

BTW - when I was in college, there was always at least a 50/50 chance that if someone took your clothes out of the dryer they would fold it for you. It was considered good manners.

Oh, I know what you mean! When my Mom was in the hospital under hospice care, I spent nearly 24 hours there with her. I had so many people helping me out with my kids & they would stay at my house while they were helping me. Anyway, often times in the morning, I would get a load of laundry in & I would often get them in the dryer too & almost each time, I would find them folded & on my couch or on my bed. Now, these people folding my panties & DH's underwear were either family members (cousins) or best friends since H.S. & I still felt embarrassed & that my privacy was invaded! I can only imagine how you feel if you don't know these people!!

I'd like to know why these strange people who are staying at YOUR house are inviting "others" to also stay there???  What's up with that??
