Has anyone ordered from this on-line retailer? I am in the process of my second order with them and having problems. I had problems with my first order with them over several months ago. Not receiving my order after being placed a month earlier, I contacted them regarding the status of my order and was told that the order got lost and they would ship it ASAP. Indeed the order arrived quickly and correctly. So, fast forward to 10/16/08; I place a second order. This was to be shipped on 10/23/08. On 11/02/08, I e-mail them regarding the status of this order as I should have already received the order if it was indeed shipped on the 23rd. I received an e-mail that the order was shipped out on 10/28/08 and given the USPS site to track the order. WELL....per this tracking number, my package was delivered on 10/31/08 in Exeter, NH...I live in SC!!!! Yes, I did provide the correct address for delivery. I wrote them back yesterday about this and asked for them to please locate my order but have heard nothing from them today. I really don't use them often but wanted a few stocking stuffers. So long story short, this retailer is now 0 for 2 as far as I'm concerned!! I just hope this is a fluke coincidence X 2. I hope someone can give me reassure about this retailer. Thanks for letting me vent!!!

I used them and got part of my order quickly.

The rest of the order was put on backorder and I got no communication from them at all. I emailed them about a month after I recieved the first part of my order and that's how I found out the rest was on backorder.

I cancelled the rest of the order and found the item myself at MK in September.

I'll have to really, really want an item to ever use them again. I just didn't like the lack of communication.

Ditto exactly here. Got some items very swiftly, but...

We finally got our back-ordered item - about two months later. I wasn't in a rush for it, but was surprised at the lack of communication and the delay.

They do offer a great service for tough to get items, but they certainly aren't inexpensive and the customer service could be better. My two cents worth...

If you find something from the parks that you like on Laughingplace, you'd probably be better off to call Disney Merchandising directly to purchase it. Laughingplace has a really high markup (at least it seems really high to me).

They can't ship food, but most everything else in the park can be shipped.

Unfortunately, this is the response I was afraid of receiving. I have since written them a second time as well as leaving a voicemail. I'll be sure to update you guys with their response, or lack thereof!!

I won't use them again. I ordered a couple of lanyards and card holder kits from them a year ago, and it took several months to get them. When I contacted them after a few weeks to see if the order got lost or something, they told me they hadn't been able to find the items, and they would ship them to me when they found them.

I had already paid for items that they couldn't guarentee I could get? I found that to be wrong (i know they are just a shopping service, but if something isn't available anymore, take it off the website!!!) Communication with them wasn't very good either, they were kinda rude to me after I was the one waiting for several months for something I had ordered. And it was very unprofessional. I was actually worried that I had used my credit card to order from them, because the emails they sent me were so brusque and unprofessional that it made it seem like it wasn't a totally legit site.

I hope you get it straightened out. If they don't send your items soon, I would cancel the order, get your money back, and call merchandising like a pp suggested. Good luck!

I look at their site then call disneyworld or disneyland directly and order from them, which is cheaper and much more reliable. Disneyland gives you a 10% discount too if you use your disney visa.

I'm glad you're getting your order. I agree with your warning; it's like the people that run the site don't take it seriously or something.

I have ordered basic items (autograph books) multiple times from The Laughing Place store with good results and I am on their email list. After numerous non-Disney related antenna topper emails, I pretty much just delete their emails. Just because I choose to adorn my car with an ever-changing array of Disney antenna toppers, doesn't mean I would defile it with non-Disney toppers .

Anyway, I'm sorry that you are having trouble with your order. I would definitely use the direct merchandise lines in the future.

I ordered from them understanding the high mark up and high shipping. My order was supposed to ship a certain day, didn't get it, emailed and they said it would go out Priority. It arrived minus a backordered item. All they do is go to the park and buy stuff then jack up the price for the shopping service. They do jack up the price quite alot, but if they were professional then I wouldn't mind. I'll call Disney direct next time.

I've had spotty results with them. Some orders arrive quickly, no problem. Others seem to sit there until we call and ask what's going on. Then, the scenario reminds me of the old joke:

A guy is going through his attic and finds an old raincoat. Tucked in the pocket it a receipt from the local cobbler for a pair of shoes he'd taken in for new soles many years before. On a lark, he takes the receipt in to the shop and says "I found this in the pocket of an old raincoat. It's about ten years old; I don't suppose you still have the shoes, do you?"

The cobbler examines the receipt carefully, then goes into the back room. A few minutes later he comes out. "I can have them next Tuesday."

Well , after what I would deem harrassing on my part, they sent me an order confirmation showing items shipped out today. I won't feel satisfied until I've those little stocking stuffers in my hands. I will never, ever use these guys again, nor will I recommend them to anyone. Thanks so much for the direct merchandising information and number. That will be my route in the future. Thanks everybody.

I just filed an online complaint with the Florida Better Business Bureau. I have contacted them 6 times via email and left 6 voice mails with no contact back from them regarding my order that was suppose to ship on the 21st.
UGH!
Hopefully something will come of it.

Straight from Disney online! I just got mine a couple of weeks ago -- and way cheaper than Laughing Place has them. And waaaaayyyy more reputable...

I listen to mine every day on the way to and from work, and they make me unspeakably happy.

Thats when you contact paypal and say that you never received the order.
