I just found an item I have been looking for on laughingplace.com...Anyone have any experience with them?..good or bad. I am alittle skeptical ordering from a site I know nothing about.

I think if you do a search, there was just a thread on within the last week. I believe the shipping was real slow and customer service was lousy. I have never used them, just remember the thread.

If it's something that is found in the WDW theme parks or DTD, then, you would be better off calling WDW merchandising.

They sell it for the price at the park, plus shipping, no markup (outside of the Disney magical markup).

Laughingplace, I *think* charges all that, plus an additional mark up because they went and bought it for you.

Here's the WDW merchandising info:

I ordered from there once. I think the prices are a little high but if its something you really want, its worth it. I didnt have a bad experience, but the shipping was very slow. I think I waited a month before I got my order in. Not a bad experience, but a slow one.

I've ordered 2 videos from them and recieved them quickly, but I don't know if those come from a different place than the merchandise.

Never ordered from laughingplace but be careful of ordering from WDW. They recently increased their shipping charges and they are outrageous.

If it's park merchandise I highly recommend ordering from the parks. I recently had to do this and they were so nice. Delivery was fast and it was an all around wonderful experience. Laughing Place, though I haven't ordered from them, seems to be highly marked up from the retail value plus I assume you have to pay a shipping cost... that markup and shipping definately comes out to more than Disney charges for shipping.

Yes, I ordered 2 dvd's from them, they were suppose to be delivered by the 19th of Dec. but I guess due to the holidays, or what ever, the order must have been overlooked, at any rate I emailed and they aplogized and the order was shipped out. Both were shipped from different states, at any rate, I was satisfied with the items and in spite of the delay in shipping, I just ordered 2 more DVDs.

Hope this helps.:tink:

I ordered name badges for my girls a couple of years ago. They came in a couple of weeks and where more expensive than getting my self but I wanted to put them in baskets to surprise them with the trip.

I have also been on their website for years when planning our Disneyland trips.

I have ordered things from them before, one order as recently as two weeks ago. They were a bit slower at shipping then they originally stated, but responded very quickly to my emails. I have had no problems with them and have found their customer service to be very good. YMMV

Thanks everyone for the response. My son saw a pair of Mickey Slippers in the store under the ball in Epcot. He is a mans size 14! He is 6 4 and 16 yr old. I told him we would go back to the store before we left, those famous last words..of course we never made it back. I called WDW merchandising and they do not have those slippers in mens sizes, only womens. They told me that the individual stores in WDW do not take outside phone orders. I can't find these anywhere. I went on laughingplace and saw them for $36.00, $12 more than at the store in Epcot, with shipping...$42.00!!! alot for Mickey Slippers!!
Still not sure if I should do it. :confused3 Thanks again for all your responses.

I needed a goofy hat for my son for halloween, which we saw at Disney World when we were there in July. I started my search in September, they told me it was no longer available.

Anyway, someone saw it at Disneyland, and I was able to order it from them (same deal, cost plus shipping). You might try them, just in case.

Hi Dee, I think I'm going to WDW next week. I want to check out the job fair. Anyway, if I go, I'd be happy to pick them up for you. I would just charge you what they cost me to purchase and ship. I have a seasonal pass, so park admission isn't a problem -- although parking may be since my pass doesn't cover that. I'm assuming the job fair is at the casting center and I don't know if I could use Disney transportation from there. Does anyone here know? Anyway, let me know.

They are over priced. I was going to order the antanae topper holder from them but found it way, way cheaper directley from the spring thing site.
