Laugh of the Day

If that happened to me, I would be so excited that I had become a you tube star. What a negative attitude to have - suing the mall. Some people just can't handle their 15 minutes.
No kidding. This woman obviously can not laugh at herself & move on.

It's funny & I'm sure if she saw it happen to someone else she'd be laughing just as hard as the rest of us.

If you make it up to Boston and want to accidentally embarass yourself and someone happens to be there with a camera to preserve the incident for virality... :lmao:

Well, if anybody is still following this odyssey, it gets even stranger. Perhaps she is looking for some money, since she may have to pay off some pretty hefty sums / face jail time.

From the local paper, once again:

Woman who fell into fountain faces theft charges, has criminal record

:scared1:

She deserves prison for all that!! Apparently she is stupid in all areas of her life. :sad2:

If she had just kept mum about it being her in the video, none of the rest of this would have been made public. Now everyone knows that she is not only ditzy, but a thief many times over and a hit and run driver! Yikes!

"Nobody took my feelings into consideration." :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Okay, MAYBE if she hadn't stolen thousands of dollars and wrecked several cars (while driving without a licence, and then left the scene!) I *might* feel sorry for her. Did she take anyone else's feelings into consideration when she was stealing from them or destroying their property with her reckless behavior?

I love how she mentions she was texting a friend "from church." Sorry, church attendance won't save you from prison, lady!

Even if she were not a criminal, I can't feel sorry for someone who does something so stupid.

Heck, when I was in college, I had a friend who was walking down the sidewalk and was so busy talking, she hit a pole. This was 1987; she was talking to the person walking beside her, not on a phone. But she wasn't looking where she was going. She actually had a concussion and had to stay overnight in the hospital. It didn't stop everyone from laughing at her for being an airhead. (although "everyone" consisted of about 12 other girls who knew, not 1.5 million people - lol - and she was the number one person laughing.)

This lady wasn't hurt, it's obvious that she gets up right away, and in the video you can see the housekeeping guy walk over to her. I presumed he was asking if she was okay, but maybe he didn't. She wonders if no one would have aided a senior citizen who fell. If someone - of any age - fell and appeared to be hurt, yes I would help them (and I wouldn't laugh- even if they had been stupid :rolleyes1 ) but she got up and ran off before anyone had a chance to help. She apparently didn't NEED any "aid."

I know right! I did feel sorry for her a little until I found out what she had done in the past.

Yes, this story has turned out to be pretty pathetic hasn't it. What would be more embarrassing, falling into a fountain for everyone to see, or suing someone for showing it only to bring more attention to yourself and then have everyone find out that you are a thief?:rolleyes1

So the moral of the story, if you're going to be a thief, you don't then turn around and go on good morning america.

3 years for being stupid. and 3 years to the scummy lawyer defending you.

I had to laugh though when I read the part that is bolded below on Perez's website. For some reason it struck me funny

Cathy Cruz Marrero is a 49-year-old born again Christian woman from Reading, PA. On that fateful day when security camera picked up her accident, Cathy was leaving her job at one of the stores at the mall and texting a friend about her birthday.

Then….SPLASH! She recalls to sources:

"I saw the water coming at me, I could see the pennies and nickels at the bottom of the fountain and then I was in it."
