Latest to book for May?

Hi!

I'm wanting to rent points either from Dave's site, or an owner (if the opportunity presents itself) for our XXX trip. I'm hoping for a XXXX. What is the latest I can book and have likelihood of getting that reservation for 8 or 9 days? I know when renting, money is due in full at the time of booking, and I don't think the finances will be complete until maybe January, possibly Feb. Is that too late in yalls experience?

booking 3 or 4 months out is not impossible (......edited to remove resort......), but i think its more likely to be booked up by that point.

Especially studios. They get booked faster.

Well shucks! I guess I'll just have to chance it and fall back on regular reservations on the WDW site.

You can always reserve a room via the WDW, then check back here (or at David's) when you have the funds to see if anything is available in a DVC resort (or two, if you're willing to resort hop). If there is, book it and cancel the normal WDW reservation.
