latest Thomas Sowell column - gay marriage

I just found this thread and wanted to share that I am also a huge fan of Thomas Sowell. Very interesting article, and yes, Mr Sowell always provides an interesting perspective in his writings.

That said, I won't try to sway those who support gay marriage to support opposing beliefs (IMO a simple bulletin board thread is not an effective means of changing one's opinion).

So here's a question: if gay marriage is OK, then what about polygamy...is that OK as well? How about older men who want to marry 16yo boys?

funny how you too brush aside a significant portion of the population because they dont feel the same as you on gay issues.

I'm back for a bit. I gave the movie 20 minutes. It's awful. I tried. Really. I'll go back down in a bit and pretend I'm watching it.

I'll just address the 16 year old boy issue. Children shouldn't be allowed to marry whether it be a hetero or homosexual relationship. Kids aren't allowed a sip of wine until they are 21 years old. Why should they be allowed to enter into a lifelong commitment at 16 years old?

Please, let's not equate homosexuality with pedophilia, beastiality (sp?) or anything of the like. It's insulting.
